Venturing out to the river on St. Paddy's Day is always an adventure as the city becomes flooded with an additional Irish-folk! Here a lonely water-taxi escapes the traffic and floats down/up the Chicago river.
This photo looks a bit surreal - between the outrageous green dye that's added to the river and the fact I shot this wide open with a 50-year old lens sort of gave this scene a bizarre glow. Enjoy!

Unfortunately I'm spending the holiday undergoing various medical tests and appointments so party-on and enjoy!
I took a picture of this dolphin on the ground, and the teenage boys skateboarding nearby said they found it and I could have it if I wanted. That was nice of them. I took it to the kids and they were so happy. (Unfortunately, it had a small leak in it, so it didn't stay inflated long. But hey, free dolphin.)
