It wasn't all birds at the Wings Over the Rockies Festival. I was lucky to find this female and her yearling peacefully eating dandelions off the road near Radium. I was able to pull into an open rest stop parking lot on the opposite side of the road and photograph them from there without disturbing them.
I heard on the radio that a long stretch of that road has a stopping ban imposed as of today and the rest stops along the way are closed until the bears move to higher elevations.
The East kootenay Park Rangers take a very dim view of people who stop during a ban or pull over on the shoulder to view the bears at any time. The fines for non-compliance during a stopping ban period can be in the thousands of dollars.
The stopping ban stretch is clearly indicated with signage and flashing lights.

El año pasado, con el estallido de la Covid-19, el confinamiento y tal, pasé la temporada de orquídeas en blanco, así que este año le estoy poniendo empeño. Aunque por mi zona no abundan y son pocas las especies, algunas hay, como esta Abejera de la pasión, llamada así, dicen, porque su floración coincide con la semana santa.

Zur Kieler Woche 2019 wurde unter Anderem ein SSP 528 als Sonderzug eingesetzt. 628 540 ist hier bei Muxall zu sehen.
Zum Fahrplanwechsel nun wurde der SSP eingestellt und die Fahrzeuge befinden sich in der Pfalz zur Unterstützung für das dortige Dieselnetz.

Le Méliphage à oreillons gris, ou Suceur, Lichmera incana ssp. incana, est un oiseau commun de Nouvelle-Calédonie, se nourrissant du nectar des fleurs et d'insectes (ils nourrissent les jeunes essentiellement d'insectes). Il perce souvent les fleurs pour atteindre le nectar plus facilement.

This bird was seen at a very high tide, ~6.5 ft, when much of the Salicornia marsh is covered by the bay, leaving it with less of its typical habitat.

In cultivation, it is one of the slowest-growing of the species, making for several years no more than a single stem, 2 or 3cm tall and wide. It shows characteristic dense wool . Its flowers are about 2 cm in diameter, white with pale reddish-brown midstrip on inner petals.
