A small riverside hamlet near Stratford-upon-Avon. The church, All Saints, was built at the end of the C15. The interior is rather attractive, a row of square-headed windows to the north and the glazed arches of the demolished south St Anne's chapel, a squint survives, lend a wonderful quality of light which picks out the C17 wall panelling and the oak pews, installed when the box pews were removed in the 1920s. There are two interesting brasses, Sir John Grevill died 1546 and Sir Edward Grevill died 1559 in the chancel. Recent work has discovered wall paintings on north and south nave walls, but funding was not available to expose and conserve them. C.R. Ashbee produced plans for a major restoration in 1899, including a new south chapel, but these were never completed. The stone porch c.1700 protects the original door which has a votive cross carved into the wood. The north nave windows have painted boats, Joyce Cokesey married John Greville in the early C15, the boats may refer to her fortune which in part was derived from salt, these then may be salt boats or a rebus based on her name. The north nave door is probably original, the font is C19. The low west tower has one bell inscribed Gabriel.
