The most common vegetable at Christmas time....The Brussels sprout is a member of the Gemmifera Group of cabbages, grown for its edible buds. The leafy green vegetables are typically 2.5–4.0 cm in diameter and look like miniature cabbages. The Brussels sprout has long been popular in Brussels, Belgium, and may have gained its name there.

On March 5, 2020 I was visiting my son at King of Prussia, PA. We went to lunch at Broadcasting Square in Wyomissing, PA. Along the building where we were eating I found nature to be budding. My husband liked the image without any texture added so I am posting it today. My Brussels sprouts are starting to spoil, they got pushed to the back of the fridge and were forgotten. At least they weren't a total waste.
Moss Seeds sprouting up and a collective side seed standing tall on the side of spring time. The joy from the ground sprouting up is thrilling to me.. Earth time very happy right now as I am with winter getting over
Recette:
Cut the Brussels sprouts in half lengthwise leaving the base intact. Pull off any wilted leaves. Preheat oven on Convection/Roast to 450º with your sheet pan in the oven to heat. In a bowl, season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a small amount of honey. Toss well to coat.
Once the oven has heated, remove the sheet pan and place alll the sprouts on the pan cut side facing down. Reduce oven temp to 400º and place the pan in oven. Roast for 15-20 minutes, turning the sprouts over about 1/2 way through cooking. Finished when there is nice even caramelization of the sprouts. Serve immediately while still hot.
The beautiful Palm Warbler (Setophaga palmarum) is one of our northernmost warblers. Most summer far north in Canada, and then winter not in South America, but in the southeastern U.S. They are also among the earliest of migrants. This one was seen flitting through the Buffalo area on its northward journey shortly after the even earlier-migrating pine warblers came through. This eastern palm warbler--identifiable by his yellow chest and underbelly (western palm warblers are predominantly white in these areas)--is a world-renowned dancer. He specializes in twerking...though he is far more classy than all that and so calls it "tail bobbing." We're onto you, palm warbler...you're twerking.
It's been a lot warmer (63F right now) and all but a few small piles of snow is left so I walked around the yard to look for a photo to take. I don't expect this weather to last so I'm enjoying it for now. :)

Following 'Tea with the Queen' at Windsor Castle, 'Air Force One' with President Joe Biden aboard departs Heathrow for his next stop.... Brussels
Having driven up to LHR and stood for several hours for AF1 and the POTUS 'circus' to arrive and depart, it was somewhat ironic to find out later that after departure, VC-25A 92-8000 took a sightseeing route down to the South Coast, tracking right over my house before following the Sussex and Kent Coastline and turning near Dover for Belgium

It was back to the office today; wasn't as bad as I thought it could be after having been away for the lasy five days or so with my sick.
It wasn't fun and it was a lot busier than I would have liked, but hey that's just how it goes.
Anyway; still not back to 100% but am getting there. Slowly.

Back to Bangkok, the view from our hotel terrace (with pool) of our hotel, not too bad, right ? As far as technique is concerned: this is an assembly of several vertical shots, with for each of them various exposures merged, and a final tilt shif effect... In short, some work to get this result ;o)
De retour à Bangkok, la vue depuis la terrasse (avec piscine) de notre hôtel, pas mal non ? Pour la technique: assemblage de plusieurs photos verticales, avec chaque fois différentes expositions "mergées", et un petit effet tilt shift au final. Bref, du taf ;o)
Another exercise in lighting, this time 2 Speedlites positioned equidistant from right and left of subject at about 1/8 power. That's the how. The why? That'll be the UK weather...
