Two birds engaged in a chase, perhaps the lower one (woodpigeon) avoided the predator by creating a stunning diversion !

What have the starlings found to eat in the 'lawn'?

This Jackdaw took a dislike to the hedgehog even though the hedgehog was no threat to its nest. The "attack" went on for another 5 minutes - the hedghog just waited for it to end and then carried on its search for supper.

This wax bee comb appeared in a fairly exposed position in a Cotoneaster hedge on 30 May 2010 in Norwich. It was presumably abandoned as it is not in a sheltered spot. (2 pictures – face and side)

My neighbour noticed he/she has no tail feathers. There's been about 4/5 fledglings flying around this afternoon behind my house and this one was being fed by the parents, but it's been on my back patio for the last hour and I've not noticed any feeding. I can still hear it now as I type...

and it then turned to look down to our garden. We have not seen it since that day, presume it has fledged now.
