My 11-year-old daughter decorated these hardboiled eggs at our homeschool co-op. She refused to eat them until I photographed them.
We are not religious people, yet we celebrate the rituals of both Judaism and Christianity, because we've grown up with them. I think of these eggs as "Springtime" eggs rather than Easter eggs. I even put dyed eggs on our seder plate!
this cake was made for the mum of a very good friend of mine. Her mother turned 70 today.
The cake itself is fruitcake covered in marzipan and fondant.
The flowers on the cake include peonies, roses, primulas and open roses. The only directive I had on this cake was to use some pink as the birthday girl loves pink and flowers

This was an image from last year. I really really miss living in Toowoomba. It had a lot of flaws (the drivers) but it was such a pretty town.
The view up to Rochester Castle. The springtime blossom was attactive, but the sky was an unrelenting grey.
From today's Shoot Rochester Live event with the Steyning Camera Club, organised by the nice people of Upminster Camera Club.
One of my 5 unedited images - here the theme was "a view of Rochester including the castle".

All the yarn is handspun, 2ply sock weight, that I worked up on my spinning wheel. The orange fiber is a kool-aid dyed mix of angora, alpaca and soy. The red is a blend I bought of wool, sari silk and sparklies. I haven’t calculated the yardage I used yet.
It’s Iris Time: My backyard garden has now added these gorgeous, velvety, frilly purple Irises. They are opening a few at a time. I’ll be adding more to this album as they continue to open and flourish until the whole Iris patch has opened❣️Photo images credited to Vickie L Klinkhammer of Vickielynne Photography and Designs (VLP&Designs)
