The last couple of days here in St. Louis have been warm and sunny—definitely not what we typically see in January. It makes me want springtime to come very quickly! I tried to capture the feeling with my iPhone for this week’s DPS “Camera Phone” assignment.

Ta-dah!! The finished platter crammed full of about 85 cookies! These are to suppliment the dessert table at the auction, since we are doing the desserts ourselves to save money. Too many cookies for my liking, but I didn't want us to have to be replenishing all evening!! These help tie our theme together.........and being co-chair of the procurement committee and "always procuring" - I decided I will set a little sign next to them that says "Want to learn to decorate cookies like these? Bid on items #405, 406 or 407!!

Krokussen in het wild, zo leuk dat die ieder jaar weer opkomen.

The midwest is beginning to come to life.

I missed the sunrise colors yesterday, so afterwards, I went in search of some color. Guess what I found at Brookside Gardens?

I've been working with layers / textures and finally I've replaced the original that was posted here today. I think I'm getting the right look and feel of what I'm wanting to see. This might be fun!

My 11-year-old daughter decorated these hardboiled eggs at our homeschool co-op. She refused to eat them until I photographed them.

We are not religious people, yet we celebrate the rituals of both Judaism and Christianity, because we've grown up with them. I think of these eggs as "Springtime" eggs rather than Easter eggs. I even put dyed eggs on our seder plate!
