so not on my list..and in fact putting all kind of time pressure on the things on my list...
..but suddenly I'm struck with uncontrollable urge to organize my bookshelves....and here I'd thought it wasn't yet Spring..
oye. Not ready to get rid of books permanently yet..(under the bed for you in a labeled box) but feeling pretty strongly that one is blinded by excess...that there are books here I want to read and use for reference but all the others cause a sort of clutter paralysis.
ok. Only a half hour more for this today. The perils/joys of working at home are two sides of the same coin.

after a lovely dinner, finally catching up with Britny, I talked her into going to try and take some portraits for "Take a Class With Dave..." (Ok, so maybe I didn't explain it in full... but she knew I wanted to take some impromptu portraiture.) We landed on the library lawn and were immediately drawn to the beautiful blossom's on these trees!
light was scarce so I/we had to snap fast/quickly... and pray for good results back home!

Western Masschusetts continues to be quite winter-like despite the passing of the vernal equinox. I found a larder beetle nosing around the kitchen counter, but wasn't particularly inspired. I decided to look back into the archives and see what springs past had given me. This (juvenile?) longjawed orbweaver was from March 2012; it was hanging out on the side of the house. Nothing close to that right now. Fortunately the forecast is getting warmer (if also wetter) in the coming days.

Although perfectly poised here, this coyote definitely had a case of spring fever. He was running, jumping and tossing bits of grass (?) up into the air as he frolicked around in this huge open meadow. Here he is looking at a pair of Canada Geese that he kept disturbing/following as they would fly a short distance away each time he got too close.

There's nothing really significant about today's photo....it was just one of the first days of the year when it was really nice weather to walk home after work and get some fresh air. Along the way, I took a short-cut via the Montreal Planetarium and couldn't resist getting down to the level of the tulips. This shot didn't turn out as I hoped, but who cares, Spring is finally here!!!

Sooooo wishing it was spring. The promise of temperatures in the 70's this weekend is fantastic, but it's only March and we're sure to have a few more REALLY cold days before spring is here to stay.
I'm ready to be out in my garden, planting those seeds that I have picked out...still several weeks away yet. These are part of my new garden tool set my in-laws got me for Christmas. I have to break them in!
