It was a great afternoon with Aija, who lived in Arlington in the early 1990s and was one of the very best students in my English as a Second Language classes.
Today I went out of my comfortzone and took some photos of a friend of mine.
I still got a lot to learn when I see this but you have got to start somewhere, wright?

He fluttered about, then snugged himself into a cleft in this fine piece of wood.
Today was exceptionally beautiful. Our home is situated so that we don't have a great view of either sunrises or sunsets. This morning, however, as I drank early morning coffee, suddenly the front of our house turned pink. Looking toward the East, I saw a magnificent sunrise, such a view as is uncommon from our windows.
The afternoon sky was of splendid blue with mounds of soap-suds clouds. Jerry and I walked the path that led through the Heaps Peak Arboretum. The sights were no less than breath-taking

right above this rock on the right was a rope swing that tried to kill me twice.
The first time it wrapped around my leg as i fell and jerked me by the ankle out of the water, leaving me with a massive bruise for weeks.
The second time the rope actually snapped when i got just two or three feet out over the water, i landed on my back in 3 foot deep water on some jagged rocks and was cut and bruised by ok and more terrified.
But I won in the end, as I live and that fucking rope is dead.
