Cornish, Maine.
Panorama view of the sunset from Highland Farms in Cornish today.
After heavy rains on Friday into Saturday giving us over an inch of rain today was the first real spring like day that we have had since Spring started.
It was partly cloudy but we also had a good bit of sun today with the temperature getting up to a very comfortable 62°F and with the recent rain our snow has melted quite a bit.
Hopefully we have finally turned the corner into spring leaving winter behind us. (:>)

It was the first day back in the office after the long weekend, and I did not underestimate just how much was waiting for me when I walked in.
What I did underestimate was just how busy today was. So I took a very brief lunch hour to snap a few pictures and returned to the office quickly to try and play catch up.
My efforts proved fruitless, but hey, that's what tomorrow is for, right?
Hope everyone has had a good day.

Spring weather had been so unexpectedly generous till the middle of past week here & so was the case again this Sunday.
Blue skies + a shining sun are such a bliss + so welcome in so often grey colored middle Germany.
Have a nice month everyone! April has come!
Some more shots around our home made during this past week are posted here ~

Made a trip down to Pheasant Branch at lunchtime yesterday to try to capture a yellow-rumped warbler. To say these little guys move fast may be an understatement. This is 1/1000s shutter speed and the wings still blurred this much!
A question did come up about the wing blur versus the shadow created, and I was curious about that as well. After reviewing the image a bit more, I think the vertical trajectory of the wings, relative to the location of the sun, kept the wings in roughly the same position when viewed horizontally. So the shadow looks "fixed" in the horizontal mode while the wings are blurred when viewed vertically. (It's the engineer in me coming out... lol)

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll crossed the stream - I have a dream
