This sparrow is getting her home ready for the upcoming family she'll be looking after in a few weeks.
The spacious apartment she and many others are living in can be found at Fort Whyte and it was a flurry of activity, both moms and dads were getting things in order & keeping busy on a sunny afternoon. :)
I think this is a Sorbus? Rowan? Mountain Ash? Or are they all the same? I am rubbish at identifying trees!!
This tiny little henbit is a sure sign of Spring!!

In general I am not often on tour with my macro lens, but if I, I love it! Especially I love it to photograph the liver worth. After a day in the forest, two blue knees, lots of scratches and of course muscle ache, I got lots of nice pictures. This is one of it, hope you like it. Have a lovely spring weekend everybody :)

Jacaranda blooming certainly signals spring here. This is taken on a foggy morning from Maleny, looking over the glasshouse mountains.
Yesterday evening, during an outing with the Photo Collective Leuven, with spring blossoms and an atmospheric sunset, my telephoto lens got into a romantic mood
Grand Prismatic Spring. With multiple trails headed up for the best vantage from the Fairy Falls trail. You really can't see much of anything from the trail below, but a five to ten minute steep ascent gives such views as shown. It sure was a busy day as that's the Midway Geyser Basin lot in the background.

At the very beginning of June, the new fields of barley, wheat, legumes, and canola are vibrantly alive as we approach Summer!
This was a perfect late Spring Sunday to appreciate the country - crystal clear sweet air, temperatures perfect (mid-60’s F/16+C) - and the winter/early spring plantings are growing rapidly.
While Idaho grows a larger US percentage of barley, the Palouse and the rest of Washington Stare grow a significant percentage of this cereal crop in the US.

A sunny spring day in April was a great opportunity to play with a macro lens, so I did just that - took my little 50mm macro for a spin. Not bad for a first try! Early April 2018.
Taken with Panasonic GX7 camera and adapted smc Pentax-M 50mm F4 Macro macro lens, wide-open at Æ’/4.
Planting season has just begun in our neck of the woods.We had actually just put our first 25 acres of corn in Friday,though many of our neighbors started last Saturday. Mother nature reminded us that she is in charge yesterday,we didn't get the 3-6" forecast but a dusting of snow and 28 degree temps(and a forecast of 4 straight days of rain in the coming week) put an end to any hopes of an early planting season....
Photo taken at the Pelham waterfall on Dunlop brook. The volume of water was what really impressed on this day. It was much stronger than any I've seen before, Also what stuck in my mind was the transitions between winter and spring, illustrated by the bit of remaining ice. It was quite a magnificent show.

Spring comes quickly and fades quickly.....
some areas havent even felt the beauty of Spring and yet ours is soon to be over.....Spring comes in February here and once the Dogwoods start to bloom it wont be long that the flowering season will be gone....It's funny how excited Karen and I were over clouds while we hung out on Sunday, but we know that once Summer hits-we wont have any kind of weather at all-no clouds-it will be hot and everything turns brown because we get virtually no rain all summer....so on Sunday we drove with the car windows open-enjoyed the cool breeze and had a wonderful day-trying to capture so much because it will soon be gone....the same as these little flowers are fading....so is our Spring........
