This is the image that inspired the whole little series and had me out in the freezing desert at night for over a week trying to intentionally make blurry shots in headlights with a monopod. :)

Hello! Hi! HRW to everyone! I'm super duper busy this week and will just be getting some quick polaroid scans posted. Sorry I won't be very interactive either but I'll catch all the lovely polaroid images after this weekend.

This subject matter is really more Fall Polaroid Week material, but this series is what I already had a head start on with scanning. Lots of intentional blur ahead.

In the past many cultures have seen bodies of water as openings to to the underworlds and spirit worlds (Beowolf and the Maya Popul Vu are examples). Here the waters surface reflects/imitates the world. I have always been interested in reflections. This was shot in a side channel of the Blue Springs Run. I shot with a circular polarizer to get detail of both the reflections and objects under the water's surface. Shot at Blue Springs State Park in Orange City, Florida.

Painting using inks, acrylics, graphite and Pitt pastels on paper - TP

On October, 31st 2008 I made a decision to dedicate a painting to every person and animal that died in the sinking of RMS Titanic April, 15th 1912. This resulted in a great deal of research and becoming acquainted with many interesting people, who have supported my endeavours. I then realised that people had died during the building of this magnificent ship and decided to add them to my list. In total I painted 1,600 paintings.

I share some of the paintings with you and will be uploading works from this collection to mark the 100th Anniversary of Titanic’s sinking which falls on April 15th 2012.
