Hello amazing Flickr People !!
Today is a red day at Color my World daily Group and we celebrate spirals at Macro Mondays.
This is a hand made paper red spiral. I did it all by myself instead of folding laundry or baking cookies for my adorable kids… And I must admit it took me some time to get it the way I wanted (and also I’m not very talented with paper and spirals and scissors…so I had a few gin & tonics to motivated myself for this picture). I guess the laundry will have to wait for another day… Well that is the spiral of life ;-) !
Happy CMWD and happy MM to all participants !!
Have a beautiful day and see you later !
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and healthy!! And see you soon on Flickr!!
Antelope Canyon was formed by the erosion of Navajo Sandstone due to flash flooding and other sub-aerial processes. Rainwater runs into the extensive basin above the slot canyon sections, picking up speed and sand as it rushes into the narrow passageways. Over time the passageways eroded away, deepening the corridors and smoothing hard edges to form characteristic "flowing" shapes. (May 2019)

A small shell found on a holiday in South Africa. This shell is smaller than an euro coin. It seems to be the shell of a small squid species.
Macro Mondays 24/10/17 theme Spiral
For this theme i decided to stay away from premade spirals and create my own.I had the idea for creating the spiral from carving wood with a sculpting chisel after hanging a new door and chiseling out the frame for the hinges. But trying to get a long and small enough spiral proved a little more difficult as it kept on breaking off.So I heated the wood in a microwave which dried it making the spiral stronger. The whole scene is about 1 inches and the spiral was about 1/2 inches. For lighting I used two speedlites, one on the camera with the bounce card pointing at the spiral and the other pointed at the side of the spiral and the background.
