A moment of realizing what you are and into what you may change. Or maybe other way around?

Although the Second Russian Civil War is often dubbed a frozen conflict insofar as no major territorial shifts have been recorded for many years, the war is very much still active as piecemeal gains are made and then lost along the Ob-Irtysh River, which serves as the unofficial demarcation between East and West Russia. Because of the breadth of this river system, most of the incursions between the two Russias are relatively small in scale and require extensive amphibious capabilities as practically all major bridges have been destroyed, extensively damaged, or heavily securitized to the point that they're a no man's land. In effect, the Russian Civil War is now fought between artillery batteries and low footprint special operations forces as both sides attempt to expand their protracted industrial bases to maybe someday get a technological or numerical advantage over the other. To this end, the military design bureau of the Omsktransmash engineering firm, KBTM, designed the BMP-K as a highly specialized vehicle meant to traverse the Ob-Irtysh quickly while delivering enough firepower to disrupt West Russian outposts before dashing back over the water.

Indeed, the BMP-K is relatively unique as most 8x8 wheeled vehicles in Russian and Soviet military history have been given the BTR designator. However, the BMP-K is actually a highly modified BMP-2 chassis, demonstrating East Russia's difficulty in manufacturing wholly clean-slate designs after the war-induced brain drain to West Russia and beyond. Nevertheless, the iterative design process has proven effective enough as the BMP-K (the K standing for kolosnyy, or wheeled) sports plenty of changes to make it one of the most advanced amphibious vehicles in service today. Along with a highly hydrodynamic hull and stabilizing fins along the wheels wells, the vehicle possesses a pump-jet system not too dissimilar from that found on the American Seadragon prototype considered to replace the Marine Corps' outmoded fleet of AAV-7s. This choice of propulsion indicates that East Russia is still capable of keeping up with the innovation curve of great powers, albeit in a reduced, sporadic, and perhaps slower capacity. Additionally, the old BMP-2 turret has been in some ways simplified into a semi-remote system, meaning the weaponry and sensors are now highly automated although a traditional turret basket is maintained for skeuomorphic reasons. Theoretically, a console placed anywhere in the vehicle would be able to operate the turret with ease. Other changes are a bit more superficial. For instance, the turret now sports storage boxes on the front and rear for the crew to carry spare parts and assorted tools, mirroring the appearance of the now-retired Finnish BMP-2MD.

Since the BMP-K is essentially an amphibious, armed speedboat, many in the West have been surprised to see it not serving in East Russia's patron organization, the Union of Songun Republics, to help apply pressure to Taiwan and other insular states aligned with the United States. This surprise is unwarranted, however, once one realizes that many of the innovations made to the BMP design were for riverine and basic littoral operations. The vehicle is still incapable of handling higher sea states due to its size, making it an inappropriate addition to the USR's various arsenals. That being said, the BMP-K is a common sight in West Russia as East Russia engages in what many have dubbed a hole-punching strategy to the stale conflict. East Russian spin-offs of the Spetsnaz, such as the fabled Promyshlenniki unit (often translated as "Fur Trappers" by English outlets), make nighttime squad- or platoon-sized raids into West Russian holdings along the Ob and Irtysh rivers to disrupt command outposts, destroy supply depots, and seize prisoners to use as leverage for the intermittent negotiations that continuously fail to conclude the war and reunite the Russian people. Described differently, the Promyshlenniki punch small holes into West Russia but the overarching image is maintained and restored not too long thereafter, freezing the conflict. Yet, by ritualizing this behavior, East Russia normalizes its existence as a global actor and achieves small diplomatic gains once a critical mass of POWs can be exchanged and made into a media event. This is perhaps the most the East Russians can hope for while its partners in the USR continue to contest the broader West Pacific.

People who I tagged, I just want your opinion on what I need to improve!

Somehow I deleted, but anywho

These are still a work in progress, I need Minifig cat gasmasks, AMA black tactical vests vests

Weapons: UMP 45 and what woulda been a Draganov looks more like a M14

I didn't have a AMA vest so I just stuck with BF. But yeah inspiration came from Da-Puma, I will probably get a Spetsnaz from him so I could have two of these guys :)

Helmet is a sand+sculpt of an awkward MinifigCat one, but it still takes the visor. Someday I'll make that BF3 Support.

I've been experimenting with some colour combos, and i fond this nice mix of the Rock Raiders torso and legs. I probally will be replacing them with Indy legs. Weapons from Brickarms. Anyway here's a short story behind them.

Rho squad consisted of 4 members.

Zach - Leader (Right)

Marko - Driver (Left)

Luke - Demolitions

Beckham - (KIA) Sniper

After the Spetsnaz invaded London and Birmingham special squads of four men were sent around the U.K by the UKMC to infiltrate and destroy the Spetsnaz camps around the coast. Each squad traveled in a RTA-45 assault truck equpped with 4x4 traction heavy machine gun and V8 engine. When Rho were infiltrating a Spetsnaz camp off the side of Portsmouth their Sniper who was providing support from a nearby building was compromised and killed. Rho squad barely made it out alive, escaping on a armoured boat.

It took me almost a month, but I figured out the pieces. I based my design roughly by the Amazing Spider-Man 2 game.

I just got the muscular arms in. I think they really helped to define this figs power.

His legs are from a Spetsnaz army figure,(makes senses) and that fig wasn't easy to come by ($$$).

The head and body came from LOTR. I kept the mane, because he wouldn't be Kraven with out it.

The Shocker is my next goal in the works...

let me know what you think and enjoy!

When I started messing around with some combos for this figure, it originally had an ops core helmet, then I switched it to the ballistic visor and I was going to make him as a Spetsnaz figure, then I remembered the G36 mod that I had and I saw some GSG9 pics and thought I'd do that instead.

This really isn't supposed to be accurate, as I would have probably reversed the colour scheme and had a black base with green vest etc, but I still like the look of it. Maybe I will make a reverse version and go with some "polizei" decals as well ; )

I really wanted a decent Russian fig for my collection, as I made all of my other Russian figs ages ago and quite frankly they look a little crappy now! So I thought where better to start than the Spetnaz?!

The weapon is a cut'n'shut of about 3 different BrickArms AK variants, as I didn't have a BA - AK74u to hand.

C & C always welcome ; )

The real ~Spetsnaz~!This is the figure that will go on my BF badge. And this is just to give a basic idea of what I look like for BF aswell. If you see this sigfig on a badge, youve found me!

Thanks Huntmäster☠ for the RPG

My first try painting camo. I know it's not that good, but hey, it's camo.

I felt I needed to upload some more figures! This is a spetsnaz soldier from CoD. This is my favorite figure in my whole collection. Help from my uncle on this one, he did great!

Also, 2 uploads in one day, amazing! Thanks guys :)

(Inspired by Catsy's figure)

Sorta a 2.0. The goggles are sculpted by me, and look much better IRL. Same goes for the boots, where any red showing is hardly noticeable.

T-100 Ogre MBT

--------------------

A high tech medium-heavy tank.

A menacing, destructive heavy weapons platform.

It boasts twin AA 25mm autocannons, ATGM, and coaxial/turret-top machineguns. Seen from the front, the chassis looks like an Ogre, giving it the name it has.

The ATGM is able to target low flying air targets along with armour.

There are two variants: G and K. G employs a normal 125mm heavy tank cannon, while K is equipped with a lower range, high calibre 148mm gun. Both are capable of supermassive destruction.

As with most UT tanks, it features a three-tier protection system.

The first tier is the composite armour. It consists of basic armour shell with an insert of alternating layers of aluminum and plastics and a controlled deformation section.

The second tier is the Kontakt-5 ERA (explosive reactive armor). It severely reduces the blow from kinetic projectiles. They are in the form of blocks on the turret and body or as ERA plates underneath steel outer covering. It results in much better protection than simple steel armour as featured on many other non-UT tanks.

The third tier is a Shtora countermeasures suite. This system includes two IR "dazzlers" on the front of the turret in the shape of blocks, four Laser warning receivers, two 3D6 aerosol grenade discharging systems and a computerized control system. The Shtora-1 warns the tank's crew when the tank has been 'painted' by a weapon-guidance laser and automatically activates the aerosol grenade launchers, effectively jamming the incoming missile. The aerosol grenades are used to mask the tank from laser rangefinders and designators as well as the optics of other weapons systems.

For passive guidance rocket systems, IR dazzlers create a blinding field of infrared light, "blinding" the rocket as it's IR isn't visible anymore.

The Arena active countermeasures suite consist of a computer, incoming projectile warning sensors, and shrapnel launchers all around the tank hull. It detects an incoming projectile, and sends out a stream of shrapnel to meet the incoming projectile. It destroys the projectile while leaving the armour intact.

Powered by a hybrid diesel/electric engine. Fast, has good suspension, and is able to submerge completely into water without leaks. Employs an autoloader.

It has it's own air search radar, allowing it to use autocannons by themselves without external assistance. Range up to 3 kilometer radius.

The tanks are also fitted with nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) protection equipment. It includes a mine disabling kit. The EMT-7 electromagnetic-counter mine system is installed: the EMT-7 emits an electromagnetic pulse to disable magnetic mines and disrupt electronics before the tank reaches them. The Nakidka signature reduction suite is also equipped. Nakidka is designed to reduce the probabilities of an object to be detected by Infrared, Thermal, Radar-Thermal, and Radar bands.

A mineplow is attached to the front of the tank, making sure mines aren't a problem.

All tanks are installed with night vision and infrared cameras, with direct feed into screens inside the tank.

The tank fires anti-tank rounds with tungsten cores.

Hope you like it!

So this morning, I found an AK with the stock cut off, and thought, "I should make an AK-74u." So I did. Then I made a Spetsnaz to compliment it.

September 2029

"A highly specialized operative team consisting out of US G.R.A.N.D. Spec-Ops and Troops of a still unknown source were assaulting a California Mountains villa. The villa was confirmed to be a hideout of the last remaining Warsaw Pact Officer on American soil as well as a small group of Russian Spetsnaz defending him. After surrounding the fairly rundown villa as well as taking positions on nearby hills and mountains, the actual operation did only last a little bit longer than half an hour. Operation Aftermath is considered to be the end of the fight against the Warsaw Pact in America, as that it also determines the failure of the Warsaw Pact´s attack in 2028."

Based on this Halo Concept Art. What I think is funny is that I actually even (unintentionally) entirely copied the weapons and where what figure with what kind of weapon stands, but with modern weapons of course.

Entire vest & beret hand painted by me. Did my best for the Russian flag on the vest. Although there is no such thing as the Spetsnaz wearing blue camo, I did it because, “Why not?!?!” Plus it looks awesome :D
