KC-10 EXTENDER
Le KC-10 Extender, est un avion ravitailleur en service dans les Forces Aériennes Américaines. Il est un dérivé de la version civile du McDonnell Douglas DC-10. C'est en 1975 que ce type d'avion fut choisi pour remplir ce rôle et en 1981 il devint opérationnel. Le KC-10 a une très grande capacité de transport ; il peut contenir en plus du carburant, des troupes et du cargo. En vol, le KC-10 peut transférer 4,180 litres d'essence par minute via le système de ravitaillement à un avion client.
