I forgot to show you what my birthday outing looked like! After a whole week of bright sunny weather we got this for my 'birthday walk'!! We had a good meal instead!

First Federally funded alternative fuel transit bus project, the California Steam Bus, 1973-1974. SCRTD, Sacramento, and San Diego ran the experimentally powered buses with steam engines, a propulsion system designed with William Lear of Lear Jet fame. After the test, engines were removed and later used in a steam powered Lear race car that set a world land speed record.

Division 8's winning entry for the Halloween Bus Decorating Contest. The exterior of this bus was decorated by senior art students at Chatsworth High School. Interior decorations were provided by Girl Scouts from Dearborn Elementary School. The Division 8 bus later participated in the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration on Olvera Street.
