Founder: James Deering ( You may recognize this famous name for well known tractors )

This classic pick-up truck likely hauled its share of building supplies throughout its heydays.

Today, this ole work truck has become a rustic attraction, with its truck bed repurposed to display plants.

Thank-you for all the overwhelming support and many friendships. Wishing you all good health.

How many of you have two skeletons wrapped around your spare tire? I don’t know what the statement is here, but it isn’t Halloween. I don’t think I’ll get too close.

1918 - 2018

It marks a century since Chevrolet started selling pickup trucks.

During 1955-59 the Task Force model was introduced ( as seen above ). This model is viewed as one of Chevy's most beautiful classic collectibles and today remains one of the most sought after pickup trucks.

Originally built with a V8 small block, 265 cubic inch, 162 horsepower with a two-barrel carburetor, upgraded to 180 horsepower with a four barrel carburetor. In 1957, the 283 cubic inch, small block was introduced, upping the horsepower to 185.

Personally, this is one of my all time faves.

Classic car show in San Marino, California

I think this concludes my posting frenzy. ;) Sorry about that! I had several images that I wanted to post before November rolls around on Monday. Thank you so much for coming along on the ride with me. x

It is hard to get a well-composed shot at this place as there are vehicles all around.

Usually this featured spot has been taken by a Packard. This beautiful classic Chrysler is of similar quality and deserves this place in the show. What a rare beauty! Unfortunately the light wasn't ideal to do it the justice it deserved.

Rain and sleet turns to ice, and we won't be going anywhere until the RV warms up.

"Some stops aren't the destination. They're simply where the road reminds you to slow down before it asks you to keep going."

The wagon had long ago stopped trying to impress anyone.

Its faded paint, weathered rust, and miles of open highway weren't flaws—they were proof that it kept showing up.

The Mirage Motel wasn't home.

It was simply the last vacancy before another sunrise.

A hot shower.

A quiet room.

One night's rest.

Tomorrow...

The road would decide where to go next.

Parked in a residential driveway on Dyke Road in Steveston I spotted this classic Studebaker coupe.

I think it might be a 1931 President four seasons roadster or Commander model but not sure. Anyone know?

The characteristic 1931 hood ornament is not present but the vertical chrome radiator element is.

The President was built between 1928 & 1933.

The Commander in this style was built between 1927 & 1931.

Most Studebaker cars were assembld in South Bend, Indiana and some in Walkerville, Ontario.
