Students in grades 4-8 at Madison Metropolitan School District visited the Central Library in May 2026 to compete in the Spanish Language Book Bowl or Copa de Libros to answer trivia questions about books they read during the school year.

 

While different grade levels took turns competing for glory on the third floor of the library, the classes that weren't competing headed downstairs to the children's area to enjoy a zine-making activity in the Bubbler Room, explore books and games, and play in the play space with planned activities provided by Madison Public Library youth services librarians and staff. More than 200 students were in attendance!

Madison Public Library participated in the Madison Symphony Orchestras Disney & Pixar's Coco in Concert Live to Film at the Overture Center which is part of their MSO at the Movies series.

 

The library signed people up for library cards, newsletters, gave out Coco themed coloring sheets and had lots of Day of The Dead related books!
