Also on a Solo diagram, Arriva Harlow DAF SB120/Wright Cadet LJ03MYG (3521) passes along Southern Way in Harlow with a Route 1 service from Sumners and Katherines to the town centre 17/04/19
A snap in time by Nick Agnew (and this photo (copyright) is by his permission) as ex-London Transport RT 3246 (LLU 605) prepares to take the right turn from Potter St into Southern Way in Harlow New Town in August 1972. The bus, on town service 805, had been transferrred along with the ex-London Transport Country Area routes to the NBC in 1969. The AEC built RT carries an almost obligatory advert (in these parts) for "Mac's beer" - the products of MacMullen's Hertford Brewery - thankfully even thought he brewery is now relocated the beers are still available. The scene has changed a bit in 40 years - the GEC/BTH street lighting long gone as has, I suspect, the Hillman car 127 FYF.

View of the Southern Way anchored in a deep water channel on the west side of the Chandeleur Islands. Researchers use the smaller skiffs to access the shallow waters close to shore.

By Monday lunch time, this north eastern corner was all that remained of the former Kwik Save supermarket at Clevedon, North Somerset. This development occupied a substantial site just south of Southern Way, incorporating a number of small shop units and a large car park as well as the supermarket. One of those shops was the Crabtree Fish Bar, just about where that twisted metal is hanging precariously: it served the finest fish and chips in Clevedon. Above it was the Crabtree hall, which was a venue you could hire out for functions, in fact No. 1 daughter had a birthday party there once. I suppose if Clevedon had been a New Town, this is what they would have called a "district centre", serving the community that grew up around it. It was a relatively young building - maybe only 30-odd years old - and as a piece of architecture there wasn't much to say about it. I don't think its loss will be widely mourned. The new hospital that was supposed to be built on this site was suddenly cancelled last summer; I have no idea what will be coming here now. To get this shot I had to put my camera at arm's length through an opening in the gate, left, and hope for the best.
RALEIGH NC: A beautiful mural painted on a building somewhere in Raleigh. I can't remember where.

This is a part of Clevedon that the casual visitor, seeking the pier and other fine views at the sea front, rarely sees. The Crabtree Path provides a convenient traffic-free route for pedestrians and cyclists between the town centre and the housing estates that lie the other side of the ring road. Here it passes under Southern Way along which motor vehicles speed freely, their light trails caught here during the exposure.
The vacant space in the near distance used to be filled by a "neighbourhood" shopping centre, comprising a Kwik Save supermarket and other small shops. Practically all these facilities closed some time ago and the buildings were demolished last year (2013); the Crabtree Fish Bar held out almost until the bitter end, and with its demise Clevedon lost its best chippy.
Until about forty years ago, or maybe more even recently than that, this area was all fields, much like the moor that lies beyond the southern edge of the current built-up area. In fact Clevedon has grown dramatically since the Second World War, from a population of say four or five thousand then to its present-day level of around 21,000.

BP throughout Streetview here and from this angle difficult to see how you get onto the site or indeed leave it but there is an extensive slip lane at each end.

wheels are from a ferrari 308, but were southern way/epsilon.
the ferrari offset worked out great,
the 5x108 bolt pattern is not seen on many applications, but oddly ferrari and volvo share it.
A view of the John Betjeman Centre in Wadebridge in Cornwall (UK).
The John Betjeman Centre is an elderly persons day care centre and is located in the former Wadebridge Railway Station building on the Bodmin to Wadebridge Railway.
This second Wadebridge Station opened on September 3rd 1888 although the railway through here opened in 1834.
The Bodmin to Wadebridge line officially closed to passengers on January 30th 1967 while freight soldiered on as it usually did on this type of branch line until September 4th 1978.
The very last train of any type to run through here was a passenger charity special on December 17th 1978.
While the old station building still exists and has a new lease of life, the other railway infrastructure in the vicinity has long disappeared.

La Flo y Samuel (quizás los recuerden de esta foto) en Lago Verde, analizando la calidad de los palos antes de lanzar unos cuantos al agua. Lindos recuerdos de final de noviembre de 2019.
