I used to drive down to the area often in the 80s, as we had family nearby at the time.
In my mind it doesn't seem that long ago, but with the cars on show here - and now with all the folk closely packed around tables - maybe it is a different time.

Quite a bit of fog around at Southend-On-Sea today, making for some atmospheric shots! Due to the effect of the light and the fog this shot of part of the pier naturally came out mono - no colour adjustment needed!
What is attractive about the Mumbles and Swansea Bay is all the greenery and the parks that line the seafront for most of the way. A lot of it we've only seen from the car, but there are parks and lush trees at several different points. This part of the Mumbles, not far from our apartment is know as Southend, for obvious reasons, I guess!
