Cropped this in so tight because the bird came all most up to my car while having a drive on a moorland road and couldn't fit the full bird in, not shy at all in contrast to a Cuckoo which I came across 50 yards along the road, I spotted it from a distance perched half way up a wall I stopped the car and even though I was some distance away off it went (so frustrating) anyway It landed further up on the top of the wall, I stopped even further back this time readied my camera and I should swear here but a blinking Meadow pipit chased it away tiny little bird!!! Thats my rant about the frustration of bird photography lol
The early bird gets the worm or in this case a caterpillar. A classic spotted thrush with a vibrant, varied, full-throated song that is always identifiable. Sadly a declining bird in some areas in the UK.
Trim songbird with pointed bill, grayish above, pale below. In the Top End of the Northern Territory, back slightly browner; in north Queensland, back more greenish gray. Smaller and more slender than female Golden Whistler. Forages fairly low in dense vegetation such as mangroves, wetter forests, or swampy woodlands. Common song a ringing, two-noted whistle. (eBird)
---------------
A small, plain bird hiding in the early morning gloom and whistling his early morning song. He didn't really want to be seen, but I got him anyway.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
A fairly cliché shot that I've done with many different species. However, never with a song thrush; so there you go :)
I found this Song Thrush in a park in Lisbon, Portugal.
The song thrush is omnivorous, eating a wide range of invertebrates, especially earthworms and snails, as well as soft fruit and berries. Like its relative, the blackbird, the thrush finds prey by sight, has a run-and-stop hunting technique on open ground, and will rummage through leaf-litter seeking food.
Snails are especially important when drought or hard weather makes it difficult to find other food. The thrush often uses a favourite stone as an "anvil" on which to smash the snail before extracting the soft body and invariably wiping it on the ground before eating it. Young birds initially flick objects and attempt to play with them until they learn to use anvils as tools to smash snails.
