tilly90: I have around 50 proven scientific links from all over the world that prove no link- whenever someone starts spreading the rubbish that it is linked I flood them with that info...I usually get no reply after that lol--- if you want to know the name of the idiot (who lost his medical license and was proven to be a fraud) to start this ridiculous theory it's "Andrew Wakefield"
rashelle_b: It's not true. There is actually a study running right now that is showing a link between autism and neural connections in the brain in the 'speech' area. They found in a small group that all the children/adults with autism had 3 times the neural connections that normal humans have. They think this causes confusion in the brain which is what creates the issues. They have to prove it on a larger scale with more people to actually publish results. That part of the brain finishes developing in the 2nd (maybe 3rd?) trimester of pregnancy so it would basically prove vaccines couldn't cause it. Not to mention a lot of 'autism' cases are actually Fragile X Syndrome which can be tested for at birth. It is a genetic mutation passed down that basically causes a damaged 'x' chromosome. It has all the same symptoms of autism, has no cure, and is costly to test for for most people just don't. They are actually also doing a study on that over at UNC hospitals.
mrskfletcher: I am so glad that I'm not the only one who feels that way! Before having Instagram there was never a question in my mind about vaccinations because frankly I got all my shots & around here everyone gets their shots. After having Elijah, I had women that absolutely terrified me about getting him shots. I remember right before he was set to get his 2 month shots I had a very long talk with his pediatrician. She's a mom of a going boy too so I asked her to please give me her motherly opinion. She explained how the guy who started the whole thing was a fraud & the media exploded the situation. Needless to say she made me feel so much more comfortable with my decision & now Elijah is 18 months & has all his vaccinations. Some women try so hard to scare you out of getting them. @tilly90
tilly90: @rashelle_b the medical community here is indicating a strong link with the second trimester too and the neural connections and lack of "Pruning" like typical brain function :)
kaaayswiss: The 18 month needle is what causes it. I forget which it is. But every needle as long as its taken after that age period. Then it's fine.
sophies_mommy: I don't vax for a multitude of reasons. Not nearly enough research has been done in either direction and it is extremely frustrating to me as a parent that I am persecuted by society and the govt for choosing not to vax. It should be each parents discretion and not mandatory by any means. I should not need to jump through a thousand hoops and 'prove' my beliefs to anyone especially the govt.

Today I'm auditioning for my college's winter play, Tick, Tick...BOOM! I've been souping myself up by listening to every and any Broadway cast recording of any given musical I can find in my stash. On top of all the goodness, I got canvas CD organizers for my room. Just because a girl is forbidden to go away to college at the moment, does not mean she can't have a little dorm room pride in her own bedroom. Not to mention my shower caddy@(#/$%
