Some kids had fun in their school holidays making this village.
At the outlet of Lake Wanaka and the start of the Clutha River ..May 1, 2016 Central Otago in the South Island of New Zealand.
Wanaka, a resort town on New Zealand's South Island, is set on the southern end of its namesake lake with views of snowcapped mountains. It's the gateway to the Southern Alps' Mount Aspiring National Park, a wilderness of glaciers, beech forests and alpine lakes. Treble Cone and Cardrona ski resorts are near the park. Just outside the town is the outdoor maze and sculpture gallery of Puzzling World.

Someone Else's Photo.
Rene's Gulf Service.
Window treatment for Easter 1960. Note the window to the left of "Gulf Service" is still blank.
This picture should be viewed in it's large size in order to explore the details within.
Note: I have found this location since I posted this picture. It is in Hawthorne NJ, and is currently a Delta Gas Station.
Lately, I've been taking (rather than making) pictures. And I must say... there is a certain appeal to the documentary image. There is also gross limitation. For which I blame reality (and of course my technical mediocrity).
Making pictures. Now there's a fun pursuit. The possibilities are limited only by one's imagination and willingness to get up off one's ass and fucking DO IT.
I've got the good imaginings going these days. Now I just the need up-off-the-ass part. (Wishing myself good luck. And reminding myself, with this old pic, that making photos allows me to be someone else.)

Yesterday was Day 9 in the 30 Day Photography Challenge I'm taking part in and the project was "Someone you love".
I decided to publish this picture on flickr because I'm quite happy with it. This challenge has inspired my a lot and has helped my to try new things and to think "outside the box"
I am one of the lucky ones, I am surrounded by people I love and people who love me. It's not possible for me to take a picture of only one of those persons so I decided to take a picture of a symbol of someone I love. When you love someone you hold hands, at first with your parents, then your boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse, your children............so holding hands with "someone you love" is my picture of day 9
