Hi everyone! I wasn´t too active last time again, but it doesn´t mean, that I didn´t build anything. I built this one on the picture, I have my next tiny RC vehicle, which is already on the internet, but not on my site. But I make now the video, so you will see it here soon!

About the skyline: Jülich is a small town with a little bit more, than 30 000 inhabitants in Germany, between Köln and Aachen. It is very famous, because it has a really big research center with more than 5000 employees. But the really important is, that I spent my last 11 months in these town, as an au-pair. I lived with a family with three kids and I learned German 7 days a week.

Really big cities, for example New York or Berlin have a skyline picture, which is a montage of the famous buildings or features of the city. So it was a great surprise me, when I saw, that Jülich has one, too. So I started to call the tows “Jülich City” :) You can buy the skyline in the tourist office, as a sticker for your car.

I thought, that it would be a perfect gift for the family on the end of my year, if I build it with Lego bricks. The whole model is ~120 cm long and contains ~800 bricks. The plan was successful! I learned German very good and the family was very happy with the gift :)

Hope, you like it, too!

The buildings from the left side to the right side:

- 3 silos of the sugar factory

- Sugar factory

- Tower of the mirror-solarpowerplant

- Old town hall

- Library

- Witch tower

- Church

- Fortress

- And the last one is unknown till today for me. I tried several times to localize the building, when I made my tasks by bicycle in the town, I asked people on different places (for example in the tourist office), but without any clear result. So if someone knows, pleas tell it to me!

Marstal - Ærø - Denmark

Ærø has the world's largest solar power plants, with an area of 18,365 m². It covers a third of Marstal's power consumption.

Ærø is endeavouring to make the island self-sufficient in energy, and in 2002 a figure of 40 % self-sufficiency in renewable energy was reached. The initiatives have entailed high international recognition and Ærø is considered as one of the world's leaders in this field.

Ærø's three district heating systems of solar collectors have won international acclaim. With the recent expansion the system in Marstal is now the world's largest solar collector system for heating.

In 2002 three modern wind turbines were erected. The wing tip of these turbines is 100 m (300 feet) above the ground and between them the mills cover 50 % of the island's electricity consumption.

Panorama of ISS038 images showing the Ivanpah solar power plant in southern California.

This place was waste landfill by Ukishima Waste Treatment Center. The ground is not stable, so we cannot build a large thing here. Spreading solar power cell panels seems to be a good idea. But, utilizing this place is not easy. For example, I have heard that they have to handle methane gas. There are some places without solar cell panels. They are opened to let the gas go away.

Ouarzazate solar power plant, on March 3, 2014. With support from the European Union, the Moroccan Solar Energy Agency is setting up Morocco’s first energy complex. The Ouarzazate compound, which will cover an area of around 2,400 hectares and will be one of the biggest in the world when complete. The complex will produce 500 MW, the equivalent of the volume of electricity used by a town of 250,000 inhabitants.
