A new section of Murdoch's photovoltaic installation (nicely framed by flowering trees), supplied by Sungrid.

This 200 kW system was installed in Rancho Mirage, CA by Nordic Lights. Completed in 2011, it uses a CreoFlex mounting system by CreoTecc.
It looks fairly large, but 25 kilowatts only covers a small portion of the university's energy use. They could use some conservation measures, particularly in the library where tons of computers are left powered on, even when the building is closed. However, they have lots of extra, empty roof space if the budget allows for more solar in the future.

In addition to the 26 kilowatts of solar installed on the library a year ago, Sungrid has supplied another 20-30 kilowatts of panels (I'm unsure of the exact number). They were recently installed on either side of the original panels and now the library roof has solar all the way across (but it's impossible to get a clear shot through all the trees).

A combined student/staff effort led to two new solar arrays being installed on EMU's campus. One is on University Commons, and another on Roselawn. Volunteers, along with EMU staff installed panels and cleared ballast.
