Ideum worked closely with the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C. to design and develop a compelling introduction to the Museum’s collection. This multiuser interactive application allows visitors to access over 200 works from the museums collection.

This is Ideum’s fifth collaboration with a Smithsonian museum: we also been fortunate to work with the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, the National Museum of the American Indian, the National Air and Space Museum, and the National Portrait Gallery.

swift.consult's offices are located in Düsseldorf, capital of North-Rhine-Westfalia, Germany.

The building is a former industrial building which was core renovated some 5 years ago. We moved here 2 month ago, so not everything is quite finished. But you get an idea ;-)

It is nearby our former location, which was in the media harbour with the famous buildings of Frank O'Gehry. Although the view from the old office was quite nice, the new one offers much more space and a loft style interior.

Feel free to stop by, when you are in Düsseldorf.

Capture every precious moment.

To commemorate the release of the masterpiece documentary Babies, MEDL Mobile brings you The Babies Movie App.

In mid-April, Focus Features will release Babies to theaters nationwide. This groundbreaking documentary chronicles the day-to-day lives of four newborns from across the globe, as they go through the trials & tribulations of their first year in this world.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

The Babies Movie App helps parents remember all of the precious (sometimes forgettable) moments of their children's lives by capturing a memory of each child every single day.

Parents can take photos or video; categorize the entry with tags like Bath Time, In The Car or With Friends; add personal notes; even tag the entries with GPS to remember exactly where they were when something happened.

Saved entries can be viewed in a thumbnail timeline and can be shared with friends via Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, YouTube and E-mail.

The app tells you every day what day in your child's life it is (today is Day # 267...) and it even lets parents set a reminder so that they are prompted every day at the same time to remember to snap a quick shot or video.

HOW DOES IT DO IT?

Upload pictures and movies from your library or capture the moments as they happen.

GPS logging so for each precious moment.

Reminder settings so you’ll never miss a day.

Social Network sharing: Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube and Email,

Add multiple accounts for each one of your children

A wide variety of fun categories for every type of moment

BONUS FEATURES

Trailers and Slideshows for Babies.

Locations, tickets and show times for Babies.

EVERY DAY IS PRECIOUS

Day 314: He thought that the dust floating in the sunlight of his room was stars.

Day 452: The text message sound on my phone made him smile and laugh.

Day 1265: The day she finally beat you at “One-Two-Three Don’t Smile.”

The Babies Movie App is a living, growing and constantly changing diary for every step of your child’s life. For you to cherish. For your kids to reflect upon.

Urdu Translator was created in MEDL Mobile’s App Incubator.

The idea was submitted by Aftab Amjad, a student of Accounting in Melbourne, Australia.

After searching extensively for an Urdu Dictionary app, the results were disappointing. From there, he decided to look into developing his own.

With the help of MEDL Mobile, Aftab developed the first English to Urdu Dictionary for the iPhone—a comprehensive database of over 24,000 words and phrases. His vision is to promote greater communication and learning among Urdu fluent people around the world. “It’s great for the Urdu community and it will especially help students.” –Aftab

Urdu Translator is easy and intuitive, with simple functionality and powerful potential.

TRANSLATE

Scroll through the alphabetized list of entries to browse and select the words or phrases you want translated. If you need a specific word, the search bar at the top will pinpoint exactly what you need.

FAVORITES

You can add as many entries to your favorites as you want, for more convenient reference.

This application is a useful and practical tool for anyone fluent, semi-fluent or just learning Urdu. Its appeal spans all ages, from Primary school youth to college students to working adults.

We are proud to call Urdu Translator a Shiny MEDL Object. If you have an idea for an app that you’d like to see on the app store some day, click here.
