On this Christmas day, where I live there is little snow on the ground. So, I went to the archives for this image of a male Hairy Woodpecker in a snow storm. Looking at the expression on the woodpecker's face, I do not think he was dreaming of snow. Friends, whether you are having a white Christmas or not, I wish you a happy, peaceful day with people you love.

We haven't have any snow for a while so today is the perfect timing to go out (just in our backyard)I so I can go out and take some photos to share for Crazy Tuesday theme for today. This was taken when it just started snowing around 9:30 this morning.

On a snowy day as we drove past the Crooked River bridge in Alanson, MI, we could not help but to stop to see the docks and boathouses . . .
“One problem with the rise in landscape photography in recent years has been over-tourism. In 2018, you might remember that the Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board actually asked visitors to stop geotagging remote forests and lakes. In one spot, Delta Lake, the number of daily visitors increased that year from one or two to more than a hundred. As a result of incidents of this sort, some leading landscape and nature photographers, including Marco Grassi, will not geotag the exact location of pristine, untouched places that aren’t widely known. It’s a simple way to keep them wild.” - 500px blog (I have wondered why so many photographers do not identify photo locations. It seems that if there was only one place for photographers to visit, it would be swarmed so that adding a second place would relieve some of that pressure. If there were only 100 places to visit, adding another 100 would releive more pressure . . . IMHO . . . my locations are generally within my tags.)
Today for the first time, I started thinking that Spring might be on its way .... so better hurry up and start posting my winter images. :)

It's nice tho, to be greeted in the morning - well at least it's morning for some of us on Flickr.

It's a cheerful greeting, this image.
And isn't that a change that I found light, lol.
Here is the entrance, filled with loads of exotic snow towards the light.
Light and love is always there, even in the darkest moments.
It can be shown in different ways

Like in a little gesture
Like in something you hear or read
Like when you share that you are feeling down
You will see that all the good vibes people are sending you actually work
