What a difference from this scene in Jan. 2014 vs. now. Virtually no snow this season and today it's sunny and close to 40 deg. F. in upstate NY.
Thanks for viewing!

This is actually a colour picture. Supposed to be spring, but several snow storms this week and cold make it seem like December.
A White Christmas missed us by a couple of days here in my hometown of Zagreb this season....so now we have a white start into the New Year ! :)
I'm looking forward to many of your wonderful shots in the upcoming year, my dear Friends!
Happy snapping ! :)
Frozen tree leaves after white Christmas snow and subzero temperatures.
I was traveling from Zalau to Buciumi in North West Romania and we had to go through this amazing mountain. Luckily, I had my workaround lens(cannon 24-105 f4) and can't offered to miss taking a great shot here.
It was slightly foggy and freezing, I had no tripod and had to think very quickly for the best compositing.
As an amateur/enthusiast with a one in a life time opportunity, it was important that I get the composition and exposure right.
I changed my metering mode from spot to evaluative and increase exposure compensation to 2/3 of a stop.
I did little post work in light room. I know it's not a perfect shot but I hope to improve.
Please feel free to share opinions.
Thank you!!
...and not at all unusual! March is our snowiest month...and this is the reason why we don't have green leaves on our trees or flowers blooming yet...Mother Nature knows best! haha...have I ever told you how much I LOVE snow? However, poor Joe had to shovel for about 45 minutes this morning...it is a HEAVY snow! AND it is still lightly coming down. We probably have at least 12 inches...so far.
