No, he wasn't after a bird. Instead the Dragon planned an attack on his cousin Sethi. I managed to stopped him as Sethi isn't happy anyway when all the other cats are around while he spends time in the garden and I didn't want the Dragon to annoy him even more
Saw this guy while out casting a net in one of our stock ponds. He keep going under when he saw me so it was a challenge to get a decent shot of him.
once in a grand grand grand while, i find someone that catches my eye just by standing around ....

Roseate Spoonbill ~ (Platalea ajaja)
I got the feeling that this Roseate Spoonbill was trying its best to avoid being photographed as it appeared to sneak by me on the beach. It does tend to stand out a bit though.

She had no idea I got this.. she had this thoughtful look that I couldn't resist.. I literally lied saying I was afk.. well.. just forgive me erika ∞. one of the sweetest person I have ever met. I just hope you like this :)
Handsome male Wood Duck quietly peering out at me from a small clump of pond reeds. Had he not caught my eye early-on so I could watch him slowly paddle to this location, it's likely he would have escaped being photographed.

I had been shooting this heron all morning in a different spot. I went to this dock and fed the seagulls some bird pellets. The heron flew over to me and landed in front of me... then flew over and behind me. It knew the bird feed was in the canvas bag next to my camera case... they don't just steal from fishermen :)
You know how movies insert dramatic music when situations get tense? Well in real life that isn't the case. There wasn't sight or sound of any critters on this trail when I was facing the opposite direction of this gator. Matter of fact I had been shooting another gator across the canal when I turned and saw this creature climbing out of the canal and on to the trail. It's a bit spooky. Fortunately I was shooting with the 500mm so there was ample space between us yet it's a reminder to stay alert when out in the bush because wild animals are just that, wild.
