..and some gorgeous sunset light illuminating Rannerdale Knotts and the Buttermere valley, taken during the last stretch of the descent from Grasmoor via the Lad Hows route.
That's the High Stile ridge in the background, which I hope to be able to do today if the weather clears up as it's forecast to.
The GX9 has some tricks up it's sleeve that the S5 or S5mk2 don't, such as in-camera panorama. It's not a perfect implementation: the resolution could be higher and it doesn't cope well with exposure changes during the pan unless you remember to lock exposure before pressing the shutter button, but it's a great feature to have to capture memories quickly.

Jiankou (Chinese: 箭扣; pinyin: Jiànkòu) is a section of the Great Wall of China. It is seen by many people as the most magnificent part of the Great Wall.
In English, 'Jiankou,' is translated to 'Arrow Nock' as the shape of the mountain resembles an arrow with the collapsed ridge opening up, reminiscent of an arrow nock. The wall is 20km long and located 73 kilometres (45 mi) north of Beijing in the Huairou District. The Jiankou section of the Great Wall of China is located between the Mutianyu and the Moshikou sections of the Great Wall of China. It is built on a steep mountain ridge and a popular hike amongst visitors.
The Jiankou section of the wall was constructed in 1368 during the period of the Ming dynasty. During the Ming Dynasty, this wall was conntinously rebuilt and reworked up until 1644. It is made from dolomite, a white sedimentary carbonate rock.
