FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

"Sails Set Toward Joy" by Chuck Swindoll

A joyful heart makes a cheerful face. Proverbs 15:13

"I have discovered that a joyful countenance has nothing to do with one's age or one's occupation (or lack of it) or one's geography or education or marital status or good looks or circumstances.

Joy is a choice.

It is a matter of attitude that stems from one's confidence in God—that He is at work, that He is in full control, that He is in the midst of whatever has happened, is happening, and will happen.

Either we fix our minds on that and determine to laugh again, or we wail and whine our way through life, complaining that we never got a fair shake. We are the ones who consciously determine which way we shall go.

Regardless how severely the winds of adversity may blow, we set our sails toward joy."

Just had to post this again! AND HERE'S A LITTLE "JOY" FOR YOU FOR TOMORROW MORNING : )

WOW, WHAT A WAKE UP CALL....LOVE IT!

If sippin' your smoothie doesn't take you here, you're doing it wrong.

So happy to say, these are all my own images! I can't stand the idea of using other people's images (free and legal) to edit pictures, and I know it's a thing people do these days... I just need them all to be mine! Otherwise it doesn't feel genuine.

This was actually my smoothie today. Strawberry, lime, coconut, banana! Amazing.

On another note, I've really been enjoying being back on Flickr... it's the only form of social media I'd actually prefer to be on, as I love connecting with other photographers that are just about photography and art. I was contemplating coming back here for almost half a year before I finally did, and I'm glad I did. I would love to get rid of everything else. Dear Flickr, please stick around another 10 years. Also, thanks for not ruining image quality all these years.

Nothing special here, just a beautiful Florida day, perfect for a cruise down the river

View On Black

Today was the first day of the US land border opening to Canadians after 20 months of being closed. Driving to Florida with my wife and will spend some time there this winter. I won’t be a good contact for the next two travel days.

In early January, I spent an afternoon photographing Ring-billed Gulls (Larus delawarensis) at Holla Bend NWR. This scene really caught my eye as the colors of the snow-filled, overcast skies matched the color of the gulls wings. Gulls are relatively active when in flight so to capture this posture of the gull relaxed in a turn seems to blend with the smooth texture of the sky.

The path he walks now is smooth and easy

What lies around that corner could make him queazy

His smooth could be bumpy and his easy be hard

His corner experience could leave him charred

But still he steps forward, not looking back

Ask him to stop and he'll say Hit the road Jack!

The SV Cosmos Mariner is a Robert H. Perry designed Baba 40 Pilot House sailboat. More about the boat below.

The Baba 40, also known as the Panda 40 and later the Tashiba 40, is the third of the Baba lineup of boats involving developer Bob Berg, designer Bob Perry, and the Ta Shing boatyard. One can arguably consider the Baba 40 a full keel reincarnation of the Valiant 40, the boat that put the word “performance” next to “cruiser”. Knowing that I guess it’s not so surprising to find the Baba 40 inherits a good turn of speed – owners even trumpet around-the-buoys racing victories in these serious blue water cruisers. They are beautifully balanced with a wonderful feel at the helm, and what’s more, they have some of the best interiors to be seen in production cruising yachts.

The story of the Baba 40 really starts with the Baba 30 which brought together a winning combination of talents – developer Bob Berg, designer Bob Perry, and what was then a little known Taiwanese boatyard called Shing Sheng. Through the success of the little Baba 30 and the Baba 35, Shing Sheng started on the road to become a force in the boatbuilding world. By 1979 they had changed their name to Ta Shing and had moved to a new purpose built factory. It was in this year that Berg commissioned Perry to design a new 40-foot model to fill out the line.

Perry was not happy with merely evolving his earlier Baba 35 design, which in itself was a stretched version of the 30. Instead, in search of more boat speed, Perry dusted off the lines of his famous Valiant 40 with its radical fin keel and separate skeg-hung rudder had defined the “performance cruiser” category only five years earlier. From the Valiant 40 hull form he derived an all-new full keel design which was to be the Baba 40. It proved to be a huge step forward over earlier Babas with Perry describing the Baba 40 having an entirely different stability personality. It was stiffer initially, beautifully balanced and much faster.

The Baba 40 was introduced to the public in 1980. In 1983, when Berg left his association with the Flying Dutchman dealership who owned the Baba trademark, he marketed the boat as the Panda 40. This name did not last long and by 1984, with Ta Shing now a contender in Taiwanese boat-building, marketed the boat by themselves using the name Tashiba 40. It’s been speculated this was a play on the words names “Ta Shing” and “Baba”.

Production ended in 1996 with a total of 115 boats being built, although hull numbers can be found that run up to 182, there is a gap between 33 and 101.

Ta Shing eventually formed an exclusive relationship with the Californian based company PAEI who had Al Mason as their in-house designer. Sadly, years later when PAEI shifted focus to power boats, many of Ta Shing’s molds including the Baba 40 were cut up. Source: BlueWaterBoats.org

Fotografar azul é coisa do capeta né?

- 01 camada do too coat Base Glitter, da 5Cinco

Ufaaaaaaaaa!!! Qta coisa!!!

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA

Esse esmalte fez o maior sucesso! Eu amei!!!
