The Smena-8 cameras were produced in their millions during the late 1960's by Lomo in Leningrad, in the former Soviet Union, many being branded "Cosmic 35" or "Global 35" for export. A very simple plastic camera with a surprisingly good T-34 40mm f/4 triplet lens.

I thought I would get a closer shot of the skytrain reflection, but now I realize the viewfinder of the Smena 8 gives a much narrower perspective than the focal length of the lens.
