It could be but it's not.
It's my new fitness watch.
Like many others, we have gained a few "pandemic pounds" we need to get rid of. We thought fitness watches might provide some motivation to get off the couch more often. My wife did the research and our son (the resident techie) helped us figure them out.
It incorporates more features than I can understand but learning how to use it has been a fun project.
It even vibrates every hour to suggest I get up and move around. It's surprising how quickly a sedentary hour passes these days.
Tracking my activities (steps taken, flights of stairs climbed, kilometres cycled or walked, etc.) really has provided motivation to be more active. It has been too easy to spend time indoors (and close to the refrigerator).
I know... we shouldn't need another digital assistant to get us off the couch, but so far this gadget has given us the boost we needed.
I glanced at my smart watch to see what "The Weather Channel" is predicting for us - and now I'm sorry I looked. It's going to be mighty chilly for the rest of the week.
Doc and I ran to the store this morning (A 42 mile round trip) - for some dairy and produce items, and then dropped off a sizable check to Crowley, our home fuel distributer. While we were taking care of chores in town, our water delivery man was outside of our cabin filling our thousand-gallon water tank.
So now we are ready to hunker down again until temperatures rise above minus ten degrees Fahrenheit.
In winter I sometimes feel that Doc and I are living in a little self-contained spaceship - floating through space, and totally reliant on our own set of skills to get us through. It can be challenging - but also rewarding, to rely on no one but yourself.
Dr. Makise is overcome at Dr. Okabe's generous gift.

Created for the #FlickrFriday theme, #Watch.
Njord gear
I ordered this from Amazon, and it arrived yesterday. I’ve been an Apple Watch wearer for a number of years now.
This does most of the things that the Apple Watch does at an absolute fraction of the price. In fact I paid £41.49 for it.
It’s marketed as the DeWalt of smart watches… indestructible!
Battery time can be around 2 weeks without having to charge it. My Apple Watch barely does a day without charging.
It doesn’t have as many watch faces as the Apple Watch but enough to choose from for me.
It was easy to link it to my iPhone too.
I’m liking it so far …
Now that you got a smartwatch - you may want a Smart Doll to help you keep track of it ^^

This little watch is born the fourth quarter of year 1952, in the Chistopol Watch Factory (USSR, now Bielorussia).
The Pobeda "Red 12" was produced to celebrate the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
"Pobeda (Russian: Победа, Victory) is a Russian brand of wrist- and pocket watches. Based on a French LIP design, the Pobeda's simple, 15-jewel movement was cost-effective, reliable, and easy to manufacture and maintain. Watch produced from 1946."

My watch, a Pebble Steel, for my new minifig :) Based on a SI-DAN watch.
The decal 'melted' into a dip in the face of the watch unfortunately, but in real life you can barely even see that there's writing anyway...
For scale reference, a UK 10p piece is about the same size as a US quarter.
