This is s Smart Fortwo from the first generation (built from 1998 until 2007) in the Dutch countryside near Zuilichem.
Short production run between 2003-2006. A high level of warranty claims on this model may well have been why the model was discontinued.
698cc rear mid-engine power unit driving the rear wheels via a six speed semi automatic gearbox.
Photos taken on Feb. 28, 2009 of former Lucky Supermarket, converted to Albertsons in 1999 after Albertsons took over Lucky Stores.
This former Albertsons was directly across the street from another Albertsons own store, Max Foods. In 2007, Albertsons closed down the former Max Foods, and remodeled the store into a new Albertsons. This store site was closed for several months until Smart and Final took over.
This is a Smart and Final Extra Store, which is a hybrid warehouse/supermarket.

OBITUARY.
The death took place in Christchurch yesterday of Mr Horten Smart Bourn, one of the best, known business men of that city. Throughout his life Mr Bourn was a hard worker, and he had enjoyed excellent health until about six years ago. He was attacked by illness then, but recovered to a large extent, although not in his usual health. He became ill again a fortnight ago, and the end, which was not entirely unexpected, came yesterday.
Mr Bourn was the fifth son of the late Mr Charles Bourn, who arrived at Lyttelton in 1850 in the Randolph, one of the historic first four ships. He was born at Riccarton in 1864, being one of a family of 18, comprising nine sons and nine daughters. He was educated at Springston, Southbridge, and at Christ's College. On leaving the last-named institution in 1880 he went to Timaru, to which town the family had removed. He joined the firm of Robert Wilkin and Co., merchants and auctioneers, in which Mr Bourn, sen., was a partner, and was manager.
After a few years he went on the land and about 20 years ago joined the staff of the National Mortgage and Agency Company asia stock agent in South Canterbury. Three years later he was transferred to the Christchurch office of the company. With the keen eye of the business man he saw opportunities ahead, and started the auctioneering department of the company. Under Mr Bourn's able work this department soon assumed big proportions, and about eight years ago he was appointed manager of the company.
In 1915 he retired from the company, and took up laud at Rakaia, which he continued work until the time of his death. Mr Bourn was also in the forefront in matters concerning the welfare of the province, and had been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for many years. He held office, as president in 1915-16 and 1916-17. Previously he had held the position of president of the New Zealand Woolbrokers' Association. [4]
Another obituary states he was a single man who in his younger days was a prominent cricketer and a keen sportsman. [5]

The unbroken horses were specially selected for the future, and are much above the average. The Trustees have decided to offer the above for absolute UNRESERVED SALE, and those on the look-out for "quality" will find this Sale a most excellent opportunity to procure horses of undoubted merit. Her hair is very fine SUPER soft however can knot quite easily. You definately want to take care if you want to keep it looking well.
Be suuuuper careful when you brush it as you can pull hair out and it won't grow back.
I found that using just the tip of a small unused tooth brush and working moslly from the bottom (read maintenence on www.smartdoll.jp) is best.

You can see the table through the headphone hole. The Verge called it "The sides are far looser than we'd like". I think the case would be much better if they incorporated the metal hinge and magnets from the Smart Cover.
