I took a photo from ESPN then painted it down plus a little my imagination. (Brushes app, on iPad.)
我從ESPN上拍下照片,加上一些我的想像再把它畫下。
Southern Pacific’s PTLAT was a high priority intermodal train running from Portland to Los Angeles. We found it waiting for an eastbound Directors' Special at Mott siding on a hot August 1987 day. Opposing freight trains were being parked two hours in advance of the hotshot varnish.

The longer I live the more I believe
You do have to give if you want to receive
There's a time to listen, a time to talk
And you might have to crawl even after you walk...
Had sure things blow up in my face
Seen the longshot, win the race
Been knocked down by the slamming door
Picked myself up and came back for more
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go

NB Kingfishers kill their prey by hitting it hard on a solid surface like a branch, that's what you see here
So was life in this bar during its heyday during the 49er gold rush era. One can only imagine what life was like at this place after night fall as the gold miners would stroll into the bar with their daily gold dust and drink away their sorrows and dream of hitting it big & going home in style. And of course the bar ladies trying to get them to buy them a drink & perhaps a little extra on the side. This bar opens now for one day only every year during the Humbug Day celebration. Where you too can stroll up to the bar, slam your fist down on the table and say whiskey, and put it in a dirty glass! They were tough in those days.
So what will you have partner!
