As my friends know I 'm a Lincoln Man,
But over the weekend I got a chanced to attend a Mercedes Benz AMG Track Event.
The SL 63 has 518 HP and goes from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.
Awesome does not even begin to describe racing this car around the track.!
Tucked away at the end of a narrow road is the the Municipal Vehicle Depot in La Linea, Andalucia, Spain. Vehicles end up here that are either towed away for parking violations, abandonment, stolen, or under the instruction of the Police. All kinds of vehicles are here from all parts of Europe as this area is one of the most southerly places in Europe before either crossing the border to Gibraltar or catching a ferry to Africa.
This German registered SL 500 has had a heavy fire, yet the rear end is almost perfect.
Rather bizarrely there is also a boat in the depot, not on a trailer, just sitting on the ground like a beached whale.

Iglesia castrense de Santo Domingo

La iglesia castrense de Santo Domingo se encuentra ubicada en la calle Mayor de Cartagena, es una construcción barroca del siglo XVIII, remozada al estilo ecléctico en el siglo XX. El edificio se encuentra adosado a casas particulares al haber desaparecido el convento al que pertenecía esta iglesia.
De su interior destaca la capilla de la Cofradía Marraja, construida en 1690 y recientemente restaurada, que alberga un retablo barroco de madera policromada con numerosas imágenes de la Semana Santa, entre ellas algunas de Capuz.
La Iglesia de Santo Domingo pertenecía al antiguo convento de San Isidoro, de la Orden de Santo Domingo, sobre el que se construyó esta iglesia castrense de la Armada en 1875. Tras su reconstrucción en 1880 se abrió de nuevo al culto y una posterior reforma en 1973 dio lugar a una remodelación total de la iglesia.

Arquitectura
Se trata de una iglesia de una sola nave rectangular con muros de ladrillo y con tres tramos y capillas comunicadas.
Existen dos capillas de grandes dimensiones al lado de la epístola, la capilla de la Cofradía de los Marrajos, de planta cuadrada que se abre en el primer tramo de la nave de la iglesia, y la antigua capilla de la Cofradía del Rosario.
El arco triunfal de la iglesia es de medio punto al igual que los arcos de las naves y las capillas, siendo los de éstas rebajados y peraltados. La cubierta de la nave central es de bóveda de cañón como la capilla mayor. A los pies se sitúa el coro y la torre-campanario de ladrillo, cuya estructura es de un cuerpo y dos vanos.
Lo más destacado de esta iglesia es la capilla propiedad de la Cofradía de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, capilla de los Marrajos, quien sufragó los gastos de construcción. Capilla del año 1690 reformada en el siglo XVIII, de planta cuadrada y con cúpula levantada sobre pechinas ricamente decoradas con estucos y molduras.
La cúpula se eleva sobre una cornisa en la que muestra una rica decoración en estuco, de tonos blancos y cremas como todo el conjunto. También muestra un hermoso retablo de madera policromada del siglo XVIII, en el que se pueden ver durante todo el año algunas imágenes de la cofradía Marraja, sobre todo del escultor José Capuz, como el Santo Sepulcro, el titular Ntro. Padre Jesús Nazareno, Virgen de la Soledad o San Juan Evangelista

Historia de la Iglesia
La Iglesia Castrense de Santo Domingo se halla en la calle Mayor y debe su honor de castrense al recibir culto por parte de oficiales de marina de Cartagena.
Se conservan restos del antiguo convento de los predicadores de Santo Domingo fundado en 1580, siendo su primer párroco fray Bartolomé de Torquemada.
El convento fue clausurado según el Real Decreto del 25 de julio de 1835 por el que fueron suprimidos los conventos. Posteriormente se vendió parte del convento a particulares, quedando sola la iglesia, denominada en 1875, Iglesia Castrense de San Fernando, que posteriormente se cambió al de Santo Domingo, que perdura hasta la actualidad.
La Cofradía Marraja de Cartagena compró en 1690 una de las capillas de la iglesia, siendo desde su construcción la sede de la cofradía y salida de la procesión que efectuaban el Viernes Santo.
La iglesia sufrió durante la Guerra Civil diversos desperfectos, siendo imposible desde entonces que la Cofradía pueda celebrar con normalidad los actos ceremoniales de la Semana Santa.
Desde mediados del siglo XX viene sufriendo diversas reformas por el mal estado general en el que se encontraba, arreglándose la fachada y modificando las entradas de la iglesia, entre otras cosas.
Escultor Colaborador en la Iglesia
José Capuz perteneció a una larga estirpe de escultores cuyos orígenes se remontan al siglo XVII. Nació en Valencia el 29 de Agosto en 1884, comenzó su formación en 1896 en la escuela de San Carlos.
Una vez acabados sus estudios se trasladó a Madrid en 1904 para seguir su formación en la Real Academia de San Fernando.
En los años 1907-1913 se formaba en Roma, después retornó a España y se relacionó con artistas como Adsuara, Julio Antonio y otros, alternando la escultura simbólica con la ejecución de retratos.
Capuz se enfrentó en 1925 a la realización de la Piedad para Cartagena y desde ese momento su colaboración fue constante con la cofradía Marraja, muriendo finalmente en la ciudad que el acogió en 1964.
Obras
Una de las obras más destacadas de esta construcción es el retablo realizado en madera policromada y pan de oro. Presenta un camarín corredizo en su paño central con hornacinas a ambos lados y pinturas de autor desconocido, de 1730-32.
Entre las obras de José Capuz se encuentran: Piedad (1925), Cristo Yacente (1926), San Juan (talla de vestir de 1944), Jesús Nazareno (talla de vestir realizada en 1945 al perderse la anterior en la Guerra Civil) y el Descendimiento (1930).
Se pueden citar también la imagen de Santa Bárbara procedente del antiguo convento de la Merced del siglo XVIII y una pintura sobre cruz procesional, que representa a Jesús Crucificado y a la Virgen del Rosario. Probablemente la realizó Francisco de Aguilar en el siglo XVII.

Prototype build of mines of the bridge from the new Star Trek movie. Just a side-note, I'm not big on sci-fi movies or Star Trek for that matter so I can guarantee there is several things incorrect about my rendition. One of the biggest things could very well be textures (I can work textures to the primitives however I can't create; or in this case, recreate, them all that well). Asides the textures, everything pictured (even the scripts which can't be seen) I had created from scratch using a reference from the Star Trek movie site.
The SL X10 was a class of Swedish two-car electric multiple units built by Allmänna Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget (ASEA), which were formerly operated by Greater Stockholm Transport (SL) on the Stockholm Commuter Rail between 1983 and 2017.
Between 1993 and 1999, 49, X10 units were rebuilt to X11 for the Skåne Commuter Rail and the Gothenburg Commuter Rail.
SL 3188 is one of the Skåne batch.
After the arrival of newer X61 emu's in Skåne, the older X11 emu's began to be phased out and in September 2013, Skånetrafiken stopped the last X11 emu. The X11 units were then gradually taken over by the carriage company Transitio, which leases them to other county transport companies. All of Skånetrafiken's 26, X11 motor vehicles were taken over, except for X11 3105, which was scrapped due to fire damage.
