Colgan High School Sharks girls flag football team defeated Osbourn Park High School Yellowjackets 32-0 Wednesday in the first game of a doubleheader, followed by a 24-6 victory over Battlefield High School. Colgan built an early lead and maintained control throughout the match. The Sharks are now 3-0 on the season following a win over Patriot High School on Monday. Prince William County’s inaugural girls flag football league includes 12 of 13 schools, is sponsored by the Washington Commanders, and provides new opportunities for young women to compete and develop skills in this emerging club sport.
