Once was a railroad bridge then converted to a road bridge, north of Byars, Oklahoma along the Washita River.
Betagan - a medicine used to control glaucoma. This has no preservative so after use, the plastic container has to be discarded. I suppose that we humans have to accept that there will be some some single use items we can't do without. I recycle these so I hope they go to be melted down and made into other things.
I drove almost four hours for this shot, two to get here and the other two to get back to Ragged Point Inn (towards south) after sunset. Luckily, I don't get motion sickness often. It was very exciting to take light trails on the Pacific Coast Highway where you get to see many turns in one frame. Not many vistas like these. I have scouted for locations and did not find anything better than this. More importantly, a glimpse of the iconic Bixby Bridge makes this frame more accomplished.
We started (Me and wifey) from the Ragged Point Inn around 3 pm and kept stopping at potential vista points where we can see a clear view of at least a few turns in a single frame. But eventually, we settled on this one for many reasons (Bixby, four large turns, easy to pull over, ocean and land proportion, etc). Then it was a long wait for sunset! Almost an hour and a half.
I took a few shots to see if the trails are distinct enough without losing the pleasing sunset hues. I used a variable ND filter (Tiffen) for this shot. I love the variable, and it could be very handy if you know what not to do with it!

CN 4795 & CN 4761 lead a short transfer out of the Port of Montreal as the snow falls. At right, a single tree has not shed all of its leaves.
I climbed down the icy rocks to get a better look and perhaps some more definition to my photos and noticed that one of the eagles had flown off. The light was pretty but quickly vanishing so I watched it for a while, took a few shots and left as well.

For the Smile on Saturday challenge: "observe the O..."
I've got folders full of shots of oranges .. they have such importance in my memory. As a post-war baby brought up with rationing of absolutely everything that you didn't grow in your own garden ..... Christmas was the one time we tasted a real orange! It was always in the toe of the Xmas stocking (which really was a woollen stocking!) and the last delight to emerge.
So there is a special place in my heart for the orange. And the most exotic oranges I can find are the ones with some leaves attached.

It seems the Rihanna Tree isn't photographed as much lately. Back in 2013 popstar Rihanna was forced to disrupt the video shoot for her hit single "We Found Love" in this field when she was told to put on more clothes by the land owner. So from then this tree has been known as "The Rihanna Tree"
