The ESV Königsbrunn is an ice hockey team from Königsbrunn, Bavaria. The main team is also known as “the Penguins”. They currently are playing in the Bayernliga (4th German league). The team was founded 1951, as the TSV Königsbrunn. 1991, the team was renamed into ESV Königsbrunn. The team played in the Oberliga and in the 2nd league for some seasons, and from 1998 till 2009 in the Bayernliga. The ESV Königsbrunn was relegated to the Landesliga for the 2009/10 season. After the 2009/10 season, the team was close to a bankruptcy, but survived and played the 2010/11 season in the Landesliga. Since2013/14, the teams name is EHC Königsbrunn and the senior team is playing in the 4th tier Bayernliga.
