A large lonely waterfall falls into Sims Creek from the glacier northeast of Mt Tinniswood. This part of the Coast Mountains has spectacular granite-walled narrow valleys.
From my NYC trip.

Vierwekelijks wordt een ronde Noord Holland gereden met de videoschouwtrein van Eurailscout. Vaak gaat er dan ook een SIM (Switch Inspection Measurement) mee om de wissels te inspecteren.
Op 11 december 2015 staat de VST07-3 (ex-NS 2282) met de SIM-12 'Annet' in het Haarlemse station, om even later verder te gaan met de meetronde.

The first in what I hope to be a series of locations where I will be shooting some self-portraits and possibly family portraits, too.
I passed him as I cycled through Toronto’s theatre district on King Street. What photographer wouldn’t stop to meet this stylish man and seek permission to make a few street portraits? Lucky me, he paused while I introduced myself and explained my Human Family photo project and kindly agreed. He had a quiet manner with a gentle friendliness. Meet Sim.
I suggested we take a few steps to use the entrance to the Metro Hall as an out-of-focus background and we took a few portraits. His sunglasses added a note of style (not that Sim needed any more style) but they also blocked the view to his eyes so he agreed to remove them after the first photo.
When I asked him whether he was going somewhere special or if he usually presents himself with such style he quietly smiled and said “This is pretty much the usual me.” I was aware of what a contrast in appearance we were as I stood next to Sim in my t-shirt, shorts, and running shoes.
When I asked him whether he is originally from Toronto he said he’s actually from Detroit but has lived in numerous places. “My wife and I are quite mobile and enjoy travel. We have lived in Vegas and Los Angeles, among other cities. We’ve been in Toronto for a year and a half but will soon be moving to Florida.” When I asked what kind of work he does that allows such mobility he told me he’s an artist, musician, and style blogger. “They are all pretty portable and so is my wife’s work, so we can live anywhere and continue with our careers.” His wife, I learned, is a free-lance consultant to the insurance industry. I learned that Sim attended college on music scholarships and started out playing jazz and blues piano, then saxophone. “I have always loved music but it took me a while to realize that I might be able to turn my love of music into a career.” Sim's business card identifies him as Fine Artist, Writer, and Musician. It contains the quote "Artists are the guides to the frontiers of you soul." It also has a link to his website where you can see some of his art and read his fashion blog: www.stepintomygroove.com
Sim expressed interest in my background – both in terms of where I am from and my career. When he learned about my working life with nonprofit social agencies he seemed very much in tune with it. “I actually ran a homeless shelter for five years before developing my artistic career.” I commented on how frequently I uncover some point of “connection” with the people I meet on the streets. The Human Family, indeed.
Sim’s advice to his younger self was “Don’t worry.” This sparked a conversation about the challenges of youth and adolescence which often involve worries about career, relationship, and the future. In the end, we agreed, most of us find our paths in life and wind up wished we hadn’t spent so much time worrying about things. When I asked him about a challenge he has faced in life he was thoughtful, then replied “Being a parent is challenging. It’s a lot of responsibility – especially when you have four children.” Our conversation touched on the pros and cons of his family’s frequent moves. His message to the project was “Believe in people.” He expanded this to comment on the importance of respecting others and of understanding the power of human connection which he feels is often not fully recognized. He is a believer in karma.
We parted with a friendly handshake. In the ten minutes I spent with Sim I felt I had experienced a warm, sincere man with a gentleness of spirit.

The hair is from Garden of Shadows. I can't remember where I got the skirt, necklace and arm socks; I'm pretty sure they're from the Sims 3 Exchange. :)
A busy intersection at the heart of Akihabara, Tokyo’s district mostly famous for its countless electronics stores selling anything you can imagine (giving the district its nickname “Electric Town”) and for being a hotspot of the otaku culture, with many anime/manga-themed shops and cafés.
A little break from people and going back to what I normally post. I recently took a trip to North Dakota. My goal is to photograph all 50 states. This was the first stop on my 1200 mile trip! Sims, North Dakota. Sims was founded in 1883, and this Scandinavian Lutheran Church was built a year later. The church was restored and is open for worship every other Sunday. Besides that the town site of Sims is a true abandoned ghost town. The town does have one remaining resident: a former pastor's wife who died between 1916 and 1918. Dubbed the "Gray Lady Ghost," her spirit is reported to haunt the old parsonage, wandering the rooms and playing the organ.

My last upload was "Amy's Nursery" which is the awesome room I used for this picture. Bedding = damn the bedding. The bedding gave me grief. Let's just say I got friskay with the patch tool.

I tried to draw hair on the babeh ;-; I'm sorry, but babies aren't all bald, Maxis. Some of them, like this little sweetie, were born with FULL HEADS OF HAIR DURDUR.
Amy rocks. Her full name is "Amelie Nicolette Walsh". Yes, I changed it. It used to be "Amelia Nicolette" but that just irked me. So AMELIE. It's pretty.
