Two of the first signs of springs in the northern interior of British Columbia... some green in the grass and the return of grizzlies.
The grizzly bears den higher up in the hills but come down to lower elevations to eat weeds and grass in the spring. As the vegetation and dining choices change, they follow their stomach back up in the hills and later in the year they feast on buffalo and other berries.
I have been watching the little buds on my Royal Star Magnolia and decided to take a few pictures of them.. I was trying a different setting on my Christmas present.. LOL!!!
These signs are the symbol of Hong Kong culture. But they all got taken down in one day without notice. Very sad!!

If you don't know me very well, then you probably don't know this about me: the California poppy is my favoritest flower and thing. So, strap yourself in; its poppies for the next few weeks at least.
Sadly as of sometime in summer 2019, this sign was removed for good. Glad I did suddenly found my pic of this sign, and a rare pic with the neon on as well! Got totally lucky that day, since before then I never had lucked out in seeing the neon turned on here.
My rhubarb leaves went from green to red almost overnight, when temperatures dipped down into the low forties. As you can see a lot of stalks are still standing - but I have picked all that I need.
Yesterday I watched as snowshoe hares sat and munched on the leaves. Rhubarb leaves are known to be poisonous - but they don't seem to bother the hares. I wonder why . . . . 🤔

Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind
Remove all dog feces, can't you read the sign?

This sign is at the top of the walkway where I go to do stairs. There are 106 steps up and then down again I go! So pretty this time of year!
Love this sign in a traditional cafe in Kirkintilloch , put your mobiles down and enjoy your meal and have a chat , although this might seem ridiculious for mobbie addicts. How inappropriate in emersing yourself on a tiny screen whilst sitting at a table with friends or family , have a gossip instead!!
