Celebrating the arts during the monthly First Friday Art Walk in historic Baker City, Oregon. with several gallery openings, live music, and horse drawn carriage rides. The First Friday Art Walk is one of numerous events celebrating the arts throughout Baker County and in addition to an extensive artwalk restaurants and retailers throughout the downtown host live music and entertainment during the event. Former Pancake Parlour restaurant on the corner of Princes Highway and Jones Road after closure. The restaurant opened in 1986 in what was previously 'The Steak Place'. The building underwent major modifications at the front with a faux-Art Deco look including the entrance inspired by the Chrysler Building in New York.
Unusual for most suburban Pancake Parlour restaurants it was not located in a major shopping centre adjoining a cinema multiplex. This would prove its downfall with other sites opening at Fountain Gate and more recently Knox shopping centre this site closed in October 2017 with the site later sold.
