Aurora Borealis over Finnish Lapland. Capturing the Aurora Borealis remains one of my favourite shoots although at minus 25 degrees Celsius a lot of layers are required!

And here I am again, shooting in the water.. Don't worry, it was warm.

Last night I saw the most beautiful shooting star in the sky I had ever seen. It was supposed to be the biggest Perseid meteor shower in years; I did not actually see the really gorgeous shower-show because I was in city and clouds soon came in, but I managed to see some single performers with one top-class extraordinary beauty.

No chance to take photos of it, my camera just gets blinded in front of such a spectacle, but I have another photo that in its spirit reminds this star show.

I hope we all can always enjoy fascination of stars, blooming flowers, and true beauty of human soul. Enjoy your Sunday and upcoming week, my dear Flickr friends!

Shooting Star, Dodecatheon meadia, is a native plant in Texas

Captured the forest on Borth beach like this back in July 2019, have not managed to see it again quite like this since.

A forest which was buried under water and sand more than 4,500 years ago can be seen on Borth beach in Ceredigion, Cymru/Wales.

The remains of the forests trees, preserved in the local peat, have been exposed by low tides and high winds.

Known as the Sunken Forest or Sunken Kingdom, this graveyard of trees – pine, alder, oak and birch – has been preserved since 1500 BC and surfaced at various points in history, in folktales, songs and legends from the 17th century, that widely identify it with Cantre'r Gwaelod (The Lowland Hundred), an ancient civilization described as a ‘Welsh Atlantis’.

I am eager to see what the photo on film looks like!

Somewhere along the Big Sur coast.

During my four-day loss of internet service, I decided I had enough images to start another collection, Shooting Sandstone.

From San Francisco to San Diego, I have shot sandstone, cliffs, rocks, formations, caves, whatever.

Going through the images and picking the best was something I have been thinking about for a while now. Thanks to AT&T, I finally had time.

It's nearly that time of year again! Tulip Time! This is the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival held in Skagit Valley, Washington. I believe this was the first year we went. What an incredible sight of beauty! This year, 2017, the festival begins on April 1st. If you have a chance to go, you won't regret it!
