The Shoes on the Danube Bank is a memorial in Budapest, Hungary. Conceived by film director Can Togay, it was created by him and the sculptor Gyula Pauer on the bank of the Danube River. It honors the Jews who were killed by fascist Arrow Cross militiamen in Budapest during World War II. They were ordered to take off their shoes, and were shot at the edge of the water so that their bodies fell into the river and were carried away. It represents their shoes left behind on the bank.(wikipedia)

This is the first time I've built with System in a traditional style build. At least, the first thing I've built that is actually recognizable as what it is replicating. Should be done for BrickFair VA in two weeks.
Check out the ideal-ness of this little number. Cute curvy heel, tiniest of peeptoes, mary jane strap, cute buckle detail. And the good news: they are totally comfortable. I found them on clearance for $20 at Shoe Pavilion about six years ago. They're made by To The Max!, which is the lower-cost version of BCBG.
