This picturesque area is surrounded by high cliffs that are an excellent photographic subject. This wonderful rock formation is located along California's Pacific Coast, just south of Davenport, CA ... which can be seen in the background of this photo.

After swimming I found this shark head on the beach. It was strange why other people don't go in the water, but when I saw this shark head I got it reason.
At Shark Fin Cove on a particularly calm day. Ventured out on a flat rock (that, on my previous visits was under water) and discovered these puddle reflections.
Many thanks for stopping by! Stay safe dear friends!

A Great white shark breaching the surface outside Seals island, Simons Town, South Africa. The photo was taken with my very first system camera Nikon D40, many years ago.
I spent a few days in Santa Cruz, CA visiting with family recently. And, got a chance to check out Shark Fin Cove for a little evening photography.
she practices in the night, cruising around the bed.
in the day time she slides around the yard. she has captured mice and birds and gophers, which she brings to us.
unfortunately she is also a snake catcher. I got one isabella on the bed two nights ago.
when we're outside, and boo stands or lies with snake isabella in mouth, I can tell her what a good girl she is and she'll drop the snake long enough for me to grab it and carry it to a safe place. snakes are good.
and even tho' I'm not a snake person, I don't want boo killing them.
the one on my bed was just too much. leon shooshed her outside for me.
it's too hot. I sat today, mostly the dogs lay in the house. except for the shark who continued cruising the yard.
I'm too hot to do damage control.
I do not like 100F temps. [38C].
I will be making a very small presence on flickr the next few days, until the hot goes away. it's even too hot for lumen prints.

The Shark Fin rock formation in the Quiraing at Isle of Skye during one of those typical winter sunrises. Stormy with constantly changing conditions. Can't ask for better conditions as a landscape photographer!
As for the previous one, this picture was taken during a visit of La Rochelle aquarium. The shark tank is impressive. It is the largest tank of the aquarium : three stories tall. It's filled with a number of sharks that swim right next to the glass wall so you can see them very closely.
A seabird hovers over a black tipped reef shark off Bora Bora, looking for a good spot to set down. Or maybe he was really optimistic about a good catch for dinner! Not the sharpest picture, but I liked the pose. We were in the water with the sharks, who supposedly are quite safe, and stingrays, which we fed and were all over us looking for food, which we brought for them. We were a little nervous, but everyone survived just fine and had a great time.
Here is another of my experiments with kinetic Photography. This one makes me think of shark teeth. What do you see? www.graveyardworker.com/
Even though this is a shark-free freshwater lake, this goldfinch is still skittish of taking a swim after watching Jaws re-runs last night.
Shark like clouds over the moon last night.

A young woman in a shark costume promotes a local play about corporate greed. I saw the ambulance coming down the street with lights flashing and waited until it was behind her for the photo!
It was rather scary!!!
Then I just decided it was narly, the nice haiku shark!!!
I took this with my iphone yesterday... didn't have a camera with me!!!

Taunton - not South Africa.
Shark Alley is a thin stretch of water between the two Islands of Dyer Island and Geyser Rock near Gansbaai in South Africa. Shark Alley was named this because of the large number of Great White Sharks that circle the Islands and swim through the narrow channel between them.
I haven't bowled for years but the "Fish Bowl" at the Bass Pro store is awful tempting. The windows to the left are a bar where you can drink, I don't know if you can drink and bowl at the same time though, could make for some pretty raucous bowlathons :)
