Lighting was not good with this shot, I wasn't going to edit this one due to its high ISO, but it's a life bird and I don't know if I'll see one again.
As always thank you for your visit, comments and favs I appreciate it, have a great day!

Founded in 1978, Shari’s was once the largest dining chain based in the Pacific Northwest.
Elmer’s Restaurants will take over four former Shari’s diners around Oregon, but unfortunately, this one, our closest branch, will not be one of them.

This is the first sunflower I have ever grown. The seeds were sent to me by one of my favorite Flickr friends Shari (.Shari.) who grows them every year in Indiana. Search her photostream with the word "sunflower" and you will see marvelous photographs of her sunflowers! As a matter of fact, her photograph today is a sunflower!
I was so excited to watch these plants grow from seeds, to seedlings, to stalks higher than I stand. I will be saving seeds each year from now on.... to grow more for myself and to share with others, just like Shari shared with me. Thank you SO much Shari! I love them!
I have taken a lot of photos of this sunflower and never could get the composition the way I liked it. I was so frustrated until I started flipping it around. As soon as it was upside down, I knew that was it! Hope you like it, too.

How about some chocolate strawberries covered for Valentine's. They are from Shari's Berries, and were delicious!
