Die Aufnahme zeigt die Decke im Tuman Oko Mausoleum in Shohizinda in Samarkand. Das Mausoleum wurde von Amir Temurs Frau im 15. Jahrhundert erbaut.

The customer's attention is distracted by a police stop of a young guy on a bike. I took some photos of that scene and may share one of them later.

Thank you all for kind suggestions, comments and favorites. Enjoy, Mario.

Yahoooo!! Hit 500 view! Thank you for viewing, comments and favoring this picture :-)

I've always loved the profile of this pointy rock at Ramshaw. It had more white lichen on it than I had remembered it having when I lived in these parts. Wish I had had time to meet up with friends, but I easily forget people have jobs to do. A hot mug of coffee and a natter would have been nice though if I had been welcome

waiting in the covered area at the beginning of Shah-i-Zinda, a Mausoleum street in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Note: I'm rushing to my in-laws now, so have a great week my friends! One more thing, the new Flickr mobile interface is somewhat buggy and preventing me from commenting on your photos. I think I'll switch back to the old Flickr mobile interface.

Congratulations to my friend Shah & Aida who just got married.

Great grandpa's portrait on my grandma's bed. She spends many days talking only really to the photographs of friends and family as if they are right there with her. She absolutely adored her father. "I love you daddy", presses her forehead against his with her eyes closed in total bliss and love. The direct gaze of the photograph makes it appear as though he is watching her still, proud of her and looking out for her. Although she sometimes gets upset at the slight sadness and seriousness of his expression. I can't seem to think or talk about this without crying a lot
