After we got back to PA, we stopped by to see Dan's parents before heading back to Seattle. They have a strawberry patch and the sun was still out, so I took some macro pictures.

This was a working model run by these two men, which showed how wire rope is used to support logging. The unit used to power the wire drags is the cylindrical steam boiler on the right.
