We have a rainy, grey day here today

Try to remember the kind of September

When life was slow and oh so mellow

Try to remember the kind of September

When grass was green and grain so yellow...

The mellow month of September is almost at an end, and the glorious colors of October are starting to appear. Seasons change, treasure each and every day.

"We know that in September, we will wander through the warm winds of summer's wreckage. We will welcome summer's ghost."

~ Henry Rollins

This is a photo I took three weeks ago. It's a long exposure (40 sec) which doesn't always work out with the movement in the water but it did this evening as it was so peaceful.

This was taken from my archives as well. Feeling like I should get more of these out before posting some newer images. It even kind of makes me anxious. My archives are full but I keep continuing to add more, I'm an image hoarder!! Going from one extreme to the other. I was thinking about posting something softer. But I like this dark and gritty one. Have a wonderful day and weekend!

A quiet corner of a recently harvested field in Warwickshire, I couldn't believe the wonderful mass of wildflowers in September, Cornflowers, Clovers, Daisies, a Scarlet Pimpernel and even a Poppy !!

And little clover bloomed once more,

Wild flowers at dusk

Cornflowers, Clover and crops

Whose tufted flowers, on slender stalks,

"I could never in a hundred summers get tired of this."
