Ravage and Soundwave, cruisin' larger than life.
Ravage and Soundwave take this week's slot for Prime 52. Why? cause panning toys in the lightbox with a manual macro lens is DAMN HARD. My darling wife pushed them and I panned and shot them. Way. Damn. Difficult. Out of 100 shots, I got 8 that were in focus.
Crazed TF fans might recognize Jazz and Swindle parked on the curb in the background.
From the past, his name is Sentinel Prime. He knows he isn't in his right time, because he recognizes where he is.
He is sitting in his command throne in the Great Spire. The Great Spire was the symbol of his Cybertronian government. Strong, opulent, and powerful. Now he sits in the spire's ruins.
He doesn't know that the Decepticons viewed the Great Spire as the symbol of the corruption and oppressive nature of the world under Sentinel's iron fist. The Autobot who would become Optimus Prime even cheered when the Great Spire fell, but that was before Megatron's true asperations became apparent.

- Sentinel Prime is an Evil Autobot. This toy shows how he looks as seen in the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, voiced by non other than Leonard Nimoy.
In his Shuttle mode, Sentinel Prime took off and flew for hours. The city that had once grown up around his Great Spire was gone and abandoned by all but a few empties. There was nothing left to fight over there.
He saw the scorched trails left by centuries of war. He saw the glimmer of hope represented by the Open City. He saw the wastes, the smelting pools, and the rot that centuries of civil war had caused.
He had thought his time had passed with his death, but he could not stand to let this abomination that had taken hold of his planet to stand.
It was time to take an active hand again. Cybertron would again know the name Sentinel Prime, and he would make the world his!

The great Sentinel Prime, the prime before Optimus Prime was killed by Megatron on the LaSalle Street Bridge in Chicago.
I made gravestone in honor of Sentinel Prime's death and placed it where he died--on the south side of the bridge. Most people pass by this gravestone and notice Megatron's further north on the bridge. I have plans on placing a Starscream tombstone in the loop.
Sentinel Prime's tombstone needed a stoic look to match his character. I went with a very upright serif font for his name (as opposed to the gothic look for Megatron). Even the tombston has a sort of upright looking feel to it. For most of his life, that's who Sentinel Prime was.
But then the question came of do I put an Aubotot or Decepticon insignia on the tombstone. He did turn to the Decepticon side. But he didn't claim allegiance to them. He didn't even really claim to be on the Autobots side, simply the side of Cybertron. But since this is a tombstone to the life of Sentinel Prime, I had to put an Aubot insignia on it. But since he turned on the Autobots, his Autobot insignia is turned upside-down.
